Does your latest video look like it was cobbled together from deleted scenes from the criterion collection DVD release of Dazed and Confused? Check. Is your new album a bloated epic fueled by Rolling Stone dreams and cocaine confidence? Well I'll be damned. Check!

We've got to hand it to you Rooney, you pulled it off. Despite criticism that your first album was an over-produced, soulless mess, you stuck to your guns to give us the best ode to 1970's excess since Oasis released eight minutes of All Around the World. Actually wait just a minute. Calling the World? You couldn't have made this any easier for us guys. Your new single's a bit of a departure though isn't it? Kind of sounds like "Man Eater" mashed with "Do You Think I'm Sexy?" I can't believe you fired Tony Hoffer for this? But I suppose when your older brother is Jason Schwartzman you can fire anyone you want. Heard he's going to be in the new Wes Anderson film this year. I'm looking forward to that.
