Even with Michel Gondry's visually arresting, The Science of Sleep, suffering the consequences of a limited North American release last year, its looks like the French director will still be favoring a Hollywood project called Be Kind, Rewind for his next picture. Starring Mos Def and the ever funny Jack Black as two video store attendants who remake movies on the cheap when they discover all their videos have been erased, the film looks to employ all the old school camera trickery we saw in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to brilliant comic effect.

Not as funny will be enduring the long wait to the January '08 release date. Until then, dust off your old VCR and load up this trailer.
