Believe it or not this axe-wielding diva plays guitar for one of Japan's most popular sludge rock bands. Formed way back in what seems like the Stone Age (around 1992!), Boris have since become uber popular in Doom Rock circles all over North America, even topping many Best of 2007 lists from the likes of Pitchfork and Spin. Inspired by a bunch of different types of music, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what makes Boris so sweet. But one thing's for sure, guitarist Wata puts the boys to shame.
