Interview by Ashnoodle

Ashnoodle: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a musician?

Shiloh: I won a contest called the “Bounce Showdown” in Edmonton and I really wanted to be a musician then, but I’ve always really wanted to since I was three. I’ve been singing since I was three and I got signed about 2 years ago.

Ashnoodle: How did you break into the music business?

Shiloh: Actually it was the Bounce showdown contest, that’s kind of what brought me into it fully, and that’s how I got signed.

Ashnoodle: How has your life changed since you became famous?

Shiloh: Some friends have ditched me because they’re kind of intimidated now. I adapt really quickly so it’s all ok for me.

Ashnoodle: Where does the inspiration for your songs come from?

Shiloh: It’s from personal experience really. Either I’m really upset or I’m really sad and I write a song about it and that’s kind of where it comes from.

Ashnoodle: What do you want people to take from the music that you write?

Shiloh: Don’t look at somebody and think “I want to be that” because you don’t think you’re cool enough on your own. Just say what you’re going to say and hope people support what you say, but if they don’t just stick to it.

Ashnoodle: If you could model your career after anyone, who would it be?

Shiloh: Probably Celine Dion because she has an amazing voice. She’s not just up there; she’s worked really hard. And you know I work really hard; I try to have the same work ethic.

Ashnoodle: Do you use Nex? And if so, do you want to tell us your username?

Shiloh: I used to, and my user name was doodles.
