USER REVIEW: Nickelback, Seether, & Saving Abel (Winnipeg, MB)
Opening act Saving Abel was a real treat. They chose excellent songs from their repertoire and took charge of the stage. Seether followed Saving Abel's fantastic performance. Shaun Morgan's reputation for style, vocal energy, and clothing procceded him. However, I had to look closely to see if it was really him on stage. His hair is long and covers his face... 93% of the time. Despite the lack of a visible face, Shaun Morgan put on a show. I was blown away by their famous song, "Fake It". Finally, it was time for Nickelback. Chad Kroeger was just like I thought he would be. He owned the stage and everything on it. He sang songs with such energy it was like this was his first time. Not surprisingly, the entire crowd at the MTS center was on their feet the ENTIRE time. The highlight of the night was Daniel Adair's surreal drum solo. Other highlights included during "Photographes", photos from Winnipeg and Winnipeggers appeared on the screen. Though the band didn't play many of the songs off of Dark Horse, I'm not complaining. This was a must see concert... four and a half hours of non stop AMAZING. by: Paula.Leclerc |
