The final act.
Screeching tires, shattered glass,
twisting metal, fiberglass.
The scene is set it all goes black,
The curtain rises for the final act.
Sirens rage in the night,
sounds of horror, gasps of fright.
They pull our bodies one by one
What has happened what have we done?
A man leans over and looks in my eyes,
He shakes his head and asks. Why?
He places my body in a black bag,
Does up the zipper and takes me away.
I started to scream I started to yell
But on one could hear me no one could tell
What�s happening what�s happening what�s going on?
The ambulance is leaving, no flashing lights on.
My fathers in shock
my mothers in tears,
she collapses in grief overcome by her fears.
Everyone is crying my family�s so sad
I cant make it stop, I feel so bad
My mother leans over and kisses me good-bye
My father pulls her away, she�s still screaming why?
They lower my body into the lonely dark grave
I feel so cold. I yelled to be saved.
An angel appears, I begin to cry.
Tell me what�s happening please tell me why.
With a saddened look and tears in her eyes.
She quietly tells me� I died.
I cant be dead I�m still so young
My life cant end like this
What about collage or graduation day?
What about a wedding, please let me stay.
The angle looked upon me and with a saddened voice said
It didn�t have to end like this, you knew you had a choice.
The angel embraced me and with a word she sighed
this is the consequence you pay to drink and drive.
Im sorry its too late now time I cant turn back.
Your future is non existent things are every black.
It doesn't matter if you beg, or plead on bended knee, There is
nothing I can do, you have to come with me.
Looking down at my family, I said my last good-bye.
I'm sorry I disappointed you, Dad.
Mom, please don't cry,
I didn't mean to hurt you, or cause you any pain.
I'm sorry all you're left with is a grave that bears my name.
I'm sorry all your dreams for me have all been ripped away;
the plans for my future all gathered in a grave.
It was such a stupid thing I did, I wish I could take it back;
But the curtains been lowered.
so ends the final act...
