They call me Alex, Alyag, Alexi, AxL, Lexi, Fluffzilla, The Fluffly Wonder (as per my luscious mane), or even Sasha The Sasquatch. Half- hopeless romantic music junkie, half- happy-go-lucky energetic social oddball with an odd sense of adventure. I wasn't born in Canada either; instead I hail from the city of Vladivostok, Russia -- admittedly I fall into the stereotype as I do have an avid taste for vodka... no accent though.

Creativity and imagination are at the very core of my being; these things have been huge with me since I was a slobbery little turdlet climbing inside unfolded umbrellas pretending to be a pirate on the high seas (I still have the umbrella -- the spokes are all bent). I still possess all the Lego I've been collecting since I was 3 -- it's piled up in my bedroom. Nowadays all that is reflected in graphic design and the music that I write, play, and record in my exceptionally cozy basement abode. Occasionally I'll sit down and write something literary and textual, though my talents in that area are far less esteemed than my musical ones. I play the guitar almost religiously, but am certainly not one of those nuts who sits there trying to shred a million notes per second. Instead, I fancy myself to be more of a songwriter than anything else. Taste before showmanship, you know?

All that aside, I see myself as a somewhat complex person with relatively simple ambitions. I live by a set of standards -- a kind of code, if you will. I don't take anything too seriously. I'm laid back. I get over things easily, rather than dwell on past regrets (it's a waste of time). I live in the moment, and enjoy simple pleasures in life. I like doing things out of the ordinary and exploring beyond things that have become cliche. I'm an optimist, and a pragmatist. I consider all aspects and perspectives of a given situation before forming a conclusion of my own. I believe life is about balance, and successful compromise. I'm spiritual, but don't believe in organized religion. I'm not a negative person, though I tend to be cynical and opinionated at times. I enjoy interesting conversations with people, ranging from small talk to the deep stuff. I seek entertainment and fun in everything, and try to live every day like it's the last (though everybody has their lazy days, and I'm no exception). I accept things as they are and don't question the choices of others. I don't like letting people down. I mean what I say, and if it isn't said directly, it's implied. I'll stand up for what I believe in on the occasion that it is challenged, and act accordingly. Lastly, I enjoy stating my opinion, but never preach.

Overall, I'm a fairly simple person to get along with, and not that difficult to get to know. If you want anything, just ask. Never be afraid to ask me anything, because I don't take things personally, nor am I a sensitive schmuck who has an issue with hurt feelings. So go nuts.

I've put the project on hold since (as per my indefinite hiatus from the whole heavy metal scene), but am still keeping the name around for solo recording purposes:

What do I like? I like cake. I like a good sense of humor. I like people with self-respect, and an idea of what they're doing with themselves and where they're going in their lives. I like people who can bring something new to the table... be it in a relationship, a social gathering, or a pickle-throwing contest -- people who will go, "hey, check this out" instead of the horribly generic, "Uh... I dunno... what do you want to do?". I like going out to experience and learn about new things. I thoroughly enjoy television series such as Babylon 5, Californication, Stargate, My Name Is Earl, Sons of Anarchy, and Firefly/Serenity. Comedians such as Eddie Izzard, Mitch Hedberg, Ricky Gervais, and Robin Williams. Writers such as David Gemmell, Paulo Coelho, Anthony De Mello, J Michael Straczynski, Charles Bukowski, and the obvious JRR Tolkien. I indulge in all sorts of musical tastes, my top three choices being metal, electronica, and smooth jazz. I enjoy simple pleasures such as sunsets, walks, beaches, forests, or the rain. LOLcats still kick ass.

I'm extremely allergic to ignorance and lack of common sense.
