Okay as some people know I've been striving for the perfect body for YEARS (and I'm only 17). I know things that work, and I know things that don't work.
Some of these will seem a little out of place but after doing it for a while it'll become common sense.
1. Wake up and go to the gym.
I know some mornings it's hard to wake up at 5 AM and go for a short run and play with weights but
this is key to weight loss, mostly because doing cardio in the morning sky rockets your metabolism for the rest of the day. If you have trouble breaking a sweat I recommend two things ( 1 ) Sweet Sweat sick, increases how hot your muscles get. ( 2 ) Turn the incline on the treadmill as high as you can just totally own that mother fucker.
2) Try as hard as you can to eat only primary foods
I'm talking
freggies and smoothies. (I'm vegetarian so it's not hard for me to do this) You want to eat as little red meats and yeasts as possible, even if you are just striving to gain muscle then protein (what builds muscles) can be found in more places than juicy steak. (I recommend P90X supplements)
3) Don't fear the weights! (Girls) or intense cardio! (everybody)
Yeah your cardio will lose the fat but playing around with weights will make you perfection (like a round ass and nicely toned abs). The amazing thing about cardio is that you can lose 500cals in half an hour and some people think that as "ONLY 500cals you could do way better then that!" but in all reality cardio has this amazing effect that when you're done your muscles are still going and working just as hard and you could be burning an extra 500cals post-workout. Personally when I'm working cardio I never let my heart rate drop below 170bpm but my preference is 190bpm.
4) Drink your weight in ounces of water
Be careful though, too much water can lead to severe issues and pee'd pants. If you keep on forgetting to drink your daily amount of water then make an alarm on your phone reminding you to drink some. (for example 24oz in the morning, 24oz while getting ready, 24oz during class (or first 1.5hrs of work), 24oz before lunch, 24oz before dinner, 24oz before going to sleep) <- my drinkage! If you hate drinking water it's probably because it's the way you drink it (re-searched this from doing this to my bff) Personally I cannot drink out of normal water bottles, it's just nasty that way; I drink out of Contigo water bottles, they're cute, efficient, easy to drink out of, and they are very durable
5) Try to keep shit natural
It's almost obvious that chemicals can lead to cancer SO try to eat things that you know what all the ingredients are or can read them out loud successfully on the first try, quit smoking (quitting causes only temporary weight gain, then you lose weight) and quit drinking alcoholic beverages (the calories you save from not drinking alcohol is insane like 100+ per glass)
6) Get regular check ups
Blood testing, PAP test (for girls), the usual medical examination. Every issue with a person's body is reflected in their weight. Whether it's over-weight or under-weight. I recommend seeing a natural-path doctor for this because they actually work out EVERY issue and solve them at the cause. Normal doctors usually just rub it off. (I am iron deficient, always have been, I've gotten my blood tested years ago and the doctors just said I was A-OK a few months ago with my first visit with my natural path doctor (seeing the same blood test results) he told me that I am severely iron deficient. My point is it's actually very important to keep update on your health)
7) Kick the addictions!
There is not a single thing good about having an addiction, your mind secretly hates it, your body obviously hates it, the people who love you hate it. And if you don't have an addiction then try to avoid them and find other things to do.
8) Stay motivated
If you're like me and have troubles making the effort to go workout then find something that'll help give that edge. For me I have a slide show of
half naked MEN (not women! those only make me feel insecure) and when ever I open my laptop I see a HOT SEXY MAN looking at me and I think "would a man like that want a woman who doesn't even take the time to work out?" and usually this gives my the motivation to go workout. Also I have pictures on my wall of runners (athletes... not shoes) with motivation words like "
Suprise yourself. Be the best version of you. Never give up. You ARE strong enough" and every day I see this and it's like BAM I need to run.
9) Find what makes you happy and keep it
Happiness usually makes people energetic and this energy levels up your metabolism. Plus laughter does amazing things to your tummy
When I was 13-15 I weighed 210lbs (95kg) and right now I am 170lbs (77kg). Yes
you cannot lose weight in a matter of days or even months. The reason who people who lose weight are praised isn't because they look great, it's because they have true dedication. Shouldn't you be refilling your water bottles?
Please consult with your doctor before doing any of this.
