Me to we is what we see
If we could already be
The change we wish to see
In our lives in each day
By the words that we say
About the world that we can make
By our passions
As they turn into actions
Me to we is what we see
If we could already be
The change we wish to see
In our lives in each day
By the words that we say
About the world that we can make
By our passions
As they turn into actions
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To something that embodies generosity
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To one home, one family
Cus it doesn’t take a genius
To see that things need to change
But not one person has the power to rearrange
All of the things that be bringing us down
It’ll take the whole world to make a smile from a frown
Every two second somebody dies of starvation
Poverty and hunger in every single nation
Forty wars spent one trillion dollars this year
We should fund education instead of investing in fear
Ecocide, genocide, homicide, suicide
So many words for destruction to live its life
People get angry and then they get up with guns
But when more people died of suicide last year globally than war
We know we ain’t having fun
Priorities need to change we’re not doing enough
We ignore a man on a street corner cus his luck is rough
They say crime rates are jumping through the roof
The same reasons not to trust everyday on the news
So many types of suffering we humans can endure
But straight up… there’s more than one way to be poor
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To something that embodies generosity
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To one home, one family
When you wake up try to find a smile
Recognize that we’re alive, but only for awhile
Look around you only, to racist to choose and find
Multiple choice answer… human cruel or humankind
Respect that there is more than one way to live
We can be people who take and we can be people that give
Changing the world can be as simple as a hug
Holding the door open and not saying you’re done
Saying something positive when negatives around
Speak from your heart, grow from what you’ve found
A stranger is a friend that’s passing you by
If he looks to serious, pass him a smile
If you still unfamiliar, ask him his name
Strangers are extinct if and when they do the same
So first we need some visions and we have to set some goals
Like ending hunger, by filling every single bowl
And ending poverty as if money grows on trees
Let’s stop voting war, let’s start voting peace
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To something that embodies generosity
Let’s move from me to we
And change the world from what we see
To one home, one family
This is it, one chance, we can do it, learn the dance, on the streets, by the way that we choose to live
By doing what we do with the me we give to the we we see
Every single body united
One family
One race, one globe, once humanity
That they call humankindness
Cus love ain’t dead[/size]
