I can't explain how it happened... it just did. The worlds dark.
It was raining, and protestant teenagers stayed around a fire, determined to not let a little water stop their fun. Alex was parked in a booth, over looking the fire. There was dials and buttons on a panel that she did not understand. Puzzling over them, she gave her eyes a rest and peered out to the fire.
They had been sitting there for hours; it was bush party for her friends. They were running now. Her ears perked up; and her senses gained. Alex concentrated into the back of her mind, letting a flame engulf her and crawl with in her.
There is no logical explanation for how it appeared, and the best I can do for you is to describe how it happened.
Alex thought she was asleep when she first experienced her transforming. A strange dream she pushed aside in her mind. However, becoming dreamy heightened her senses and she began to concentrate in a part of her brain she hadn't put to use before.
A snout began to protrude, and her canine teeth began to grow as her molars pushed back. Aroma's entered the brain as her nose grew, and she sniffed the wet evening air. She didn't feel her limbs change, just a wispy sensation through out her gut and soul.
There Alex stood, black with green eyes and white teeth. An animal; and at this moment, a dog. I can't really tell you what type of dog, maybe a mutt of some sorts. But she had brilliant black fur, looking like a coyote, though noble, clean, fierce and the size of a wolfhound.
Looking to the north, she had seen others, in fact, small children. All of which were running, as dark shadows ran and pounced, dragging one by one down. Alex immediately knew what was happening. She looked to the one beside her and said,"werewolves."
Werewolves is a funny term, but it is the best to describe these creatures. Werewolves and transformers and easily confused, and as my duty as a writer, I will sort it out in an understandable fashion for the reader.
Werewolves are not people. In fact they don't resemble wolves a whole lot. They are demons, with black eyes. They inhabit bodies of criminals; hiding in society. However, they will leave the body, and in their true forms they are like shadow's and smoke, except for the hardness of the matter. They are shaped like a dog, but still, are hard to describe. Vicious and seeking only blood and power, they roam the world.
Alex ran towards them and hid in the tall grasses and underbrush. Tree's surrounding a small meadow was in front of her, and a light portrayed. She crept towards the distant growing light, and realized it was a truck with a camper in the box. A child was running away from the truck, but weary, not fast enough. The werewolves were spreading, and it was too late to save the child. Alex had to warn the others.
The boy she had turned to called out to the others. Walking off she saw one of the boys running up the road. She turned and yelled; NO FELIX. Felix was a newborn, and did not have any experience or discipline. Tearing through her clothes she ran after him. It was too late though; he had killed a messenger, a tall dirty redheaded man. She glared at Felix. " You fucking moron! If he were to attack us, it wouldn't have been so obvious! "
Felix lowered his head and whimpered.
She ran back to her house to see her family. Safe and well taught on how to deal with such situations, Alex trusted that they were well equipped. She began to pack a light blue reusable grocery bag. In it was a water bottle, a Swiss army knife, matches, and a note. She began to remove her clothes and pack them before transforming. Her family was gathered around in the kitchen as she was heading towards the door. " run fast Alex and be careful " was all they said as her father clenched to a gun. He opened the door and with the bag in her mouth she began to run.
Alex now was a sleek black panther, and ran with the creeks banks rather then the highway to avoid detection. It would be rather odd to see a black panther so up north. She ran around the small city, exhilarated by ability of speed. Finally she boldly entered the dozen of streets and homes, creeping from alley to tree till she reached her destination.
Finally a tall white fence was in view. She easily could have hopped over it, but needed to remain undetected. There was a beige shack with a green roof and doors to her right, and to the left was a rather stretched out pond. On the house there was two glass doors after a wooden patio. Her destination first was the window to the left of the glass doors. In between the window and the pond was rocks and bushes. Difficulty of making no noise was low though, her padded feet made sure of that. She waltzed up to the window and placed a note facing the inside saying "Al, open the back door." She scratched with her paws till she heard the window creak open, and hid in the blackness as he lifted the blinds.
Moments later, the door creaked open, and a foot stepped out. She had her cue and pounced on him, making sure to cover his mouth to not let a gasp get out. He squirmed but her strength was no match for his. He caved, and she turned her face towards him and lifted her neck, showing her necklace. Shock came over his eyes, and a light began to dawn in his head, as ever so slowly, she removed her paw. " Alex?"
He had asked her, and she purred, nodding her head.
".. what?" he mumbled.
She got off of him and gently pushed him to his feet. As he brushed himself off, she dug her nose into the bag and pulled out a note. Still preoccupied with himself, she nodded on his leg, handing him the note.
" A TOWEL WOULD BE NICE. "
He grumbled and she followed him inside, purring. They walked downstairs into his room and pointed to a towel on the floor. She sniffed it and picked up it with her mouth, growling at Al for staring. Leaving the room, she transformed again into her old self, putting on her clothes.
"Why would you bother to put on clothes?"
She turned around to see him standing there, in a matter-of-fact kind of way. "I figured you would have shat yourself when I jumped you, thought I'd give you time to clean up."
"Fuck you."
"Scared you didn't I."
"When the fuck could you do that."
She sprawled out on the bed, chuckling.
"I came to make sure that you guys know that there's a rather large group of werewolves spreading, and they're heading here... and I wanted to make sure that you were safe."
" Fucking werewolves. "
He fell onto the bed.
" could I see that cougar again? "
" close your eyes then. "
" .. no " he grinned, " I like watching you take your clothes off."
Alex got up, grabbed the towel and headed to the bathroom.
She pushed the bedroom door open and crawled on to the bed, laying right beside the boy. Al stared and stared, and Alex looked at him through her green eyes. He laid his hand on his stomach, and she began rubbing against it.
" you want me to pet you? "
puurrrrrrr.
Fingers from the backs of her ears down her back dragged, and never had it felt so good. She closed her eyes and licked his cheek. He buried his face into her coat and hugged her; " you're so soft.. how do you do this?"
" Magic? Look at what hides in the world. "
Alex transformed back.
