Faith, it could arguably be called a synonym for ignorance
To believe whole-heartedly in something that has no assurance of guarantee or
No safety in promise, simply something that you choose everyday to follow,
Something that you couldn't possibly know,
Is somthing not easily done

Then again the definition of know is one loosely defined by one's own attitudes and values.
If you believe something, do you really know it? If you see something, do you really know it?
If you love something, do you really know it?

At the end of the day we don't know anything, not really,
In life nothing is safe, safety is an illusion,
There is never a guarantee.
All we have to loose with faith, is simply that, faith.

Faith is a choice,
Oh choices, they are that which makes up not only the essence of life, but the essence of who we are
With every passing decision, is a passing reflection, an opportunity to see who we are becoming.
Just because we choose the "safe" choice, doesn't make us safe
There are no safe choices, only other choices.

Like the choice of fear and regret.
Each, whether it sits well with us or not, is a choice
Find hope in every situation, for everything is not a lesson to learn, but a choice we made
A choice that shows us what we are, we must make sure its something we want to be
Fear is akin to slavery, its removes our freedom, or so we like to think
Unlike slavery we possess the ability to concur fear everyday on our own,
If we only have the strength.

Strength, it is often thought of as a well,
One with a bottom to reach and a top to take from
Limits on strength are only what we make them
Because in truth strength can be limitless, if only we are not afraid to let it

Control, we strive to control all we can in a world lacking of it.
I, myself am guilty of extending myself so far, just to find peace in an un-peaceful place.
To have control is to have power,
Such a power makes us feel invincible, as if, if we never hurt, we'll always be happy.

It hard to see what is, instead of what we want.
I want faith to be hard, so I have reason to give up on it.
I want knowledge to be concrete, so I always have something to fall back on.
Just like I want safety to fail-proof, so I don't have to live in fear.
I want to regret, so I can feel like I 'lived", when all I did was not see who the person behind the choice.
I want to be afraid, so I can have limits.
I want limits, because then I feel I have control.
And if I have control then I don't have to have faith.

The funny thing is, none of us will really ever have control, its part of the chance we take by living,
So in the end, we are left with faith.
