I've had time to think. Thinking a lot about our friendship.
I realize that our relationship was short-lived. A part of me feels bad because I feel like I rushed you into something neither of us was fully ready for or had time to commit to, but the other part is just glad I had you in my life for that period of time.
You've taught me a lot. I've experienced different things I wouldn't have had a chance to otherwise. And I feel like I've gained family. You, your dad, and brother all mean a lot to me.
I also know that you heard rumors from our mutual friends. While I didn't expect you to find out that way, I know that denying the truth will do nothing. I did do the one thing I said I would never do in a relationship. And I know this isn't an excuse, but we were dying at the time, and it was my fault for reestablishing a friendship I know that never just "remains friends". So I apologize for that.
