RCMP are investigating after a 17year-old boy was
killed after an offroad vehicle rolled over near Devon Monday evening
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene
about five kilometres west of Devon on Range Road 265

told Global News the teen was a passenger in a modified dune buggy
and became pinned under it when it flipped.
The driver was not injured. A dune buggy is
a recreational vehicle with large tires used on beaches or sand dunes
“They weren’t wearing seatbelts. There was a roll cage on the vehicle.
It was very unfortunate and very tragic,” he said.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The teen was not from
the Devon area and police were notifying his family Monday night
Stars ambulance was called to the scene, but did not transport the teen
