Ok, I happen to be totally hyper right now. I'm blowing off some steam and just saying whatever is in this twisted head of mine.

I just got this AWESOME BJD, no, not BJ, BJD. Ball Joint Doll. She's gorgeous. I know geeky, right? I love her. She's a D.I.M. (doll in mind) Bellosse version. SD (Super Dolfie, just a big doll). She's made of urethane resin, (I THINK it's called urethane, gotta stop putting brackets).

Anyways, she came in her rather large cardboard box which yet contained another cardboard box, which I opened to a shower of star shaped styrofoam packing pellets and bubble wrap. Inside was a set of complimentary photos of my doll and a couple others from the company, a silver wig, a white wig, eyeballs, eyelashes and of course, my doll.

She is approximately 56.5 cm tall, weighing in at about 5 lbs and poses like a dream. SHE CAN ACTUALLY TOUCH HER FACE. An uncommon trait in freshly strung, new dolls. Especially ones from D.I.M. By the way, what I mean by strung is, dolls are held together by two loops of stretchy string, when its new, the string is tight which is why newly strung dolls CAN'T touch their faces. Especially when trying to pose.

The Process

Of course, BJD's are really expensive, and I had to do a LOT of research before I bought one. Even my friend yelled at me about trying to get one before I knew anything about them. So then came the research, the endless hours of site surfing, asking questions, looking up facts. How to restring your own doll, the pros and cons of getting a darker toned doll. God the headaches were HORRIBLE.

Then I saw my dream doll.

Fangs, pointy ears and all, I knew it was MY doll. Her whole presence spelled Lollita. And I knew that dressing her in practically ANY style would look good on her. What upset me though was that all of the pictures that I saw of her online from people who had bought a version of her already, she was dressed in old fashioned stuff. Nothing new or modern or modish. I decided to change that.

When my doll arrived, she was perfect, stands like a rock too. Sadly I haven't photographed her yet. I had already bought her an outfit so that she wouldn't be nude when she arrived. A schoolgirl kind of outfit. It was PERFECT. She looks WONDERFUL in her modern clothing. I had also bought her a new wig, short and white blonde. Kinda like a bob. It was the most beautiful thing ever. So soon I may get some pictures of the beautiful DIM Bellosse Posted in her new stuff.
