Now before you all go rampaging about how drugs are bad and will mess with you life, PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE thats all I ask then you can call me a drug addict, a hobo, a bum or whatever it is you wish to call me.

- I apologize in advance to all those who disagree with me, but please keep this a nice discussion. And ps, sorry if there are spelling errors or any mistakes, because I just finished a big ass joint before writing this.

My perspective on this is why marijuana isn't legal. Well to demonstrate the bad in the drug you'd obviously see that it is a gateway drug, it leads to further drugs which may create junkies and addicts. Yet what really sets a person to try other drugs, the need to feel more high? Their own choice? Or does somehow the cannabis plant mess with your mind to make you think you do. Now that last one was far fetched but thats what some people believe. If Marijuana was a gateway drug I am almost positive that if this drug was truely a gateway drug and started people into heavier drugs there would be more of an enforcement. To even prove that there isnt much of an inforcement, I was smoking a marijuana joint outside under a week ago. I had finished the joint with my friends and a undercover cop pulled up, asking us what we've been doing and what not. So they claim were smoking weed, yet they arrived minutes after we had finished. We had no posession of any type of drug yet I was still charged, even so, the police that did charge me did not charge the other two people I was with. They too had said they smoke weed but just needed to meet a quota(They need to give out a certain ammount of tickets each month or so). Is this what our justice system has come to? Has the so called good become bad? Do they just book any random kid for smelling like Marijuana? If the police that arrest the men and women who use marijuana infact use it themselves then what are they then hypocritical. Our laws do enforce that no one should use marijuana but when the men and women who are to be enforcing these laws infact do smoke marijuana themselves it makes you wonder. Is it really that bad of a drug?

You would imagine if anyone should know, it would be the police. It seems to me like smoking marijuana is comming as common as smoking cigarettes. Yet this cancerous death stick that robs the world of millions of lives each year is legal! The use of Marijuana itself is also cancerous but how can you see the difference between something that kills millions and one that kills almost none?

Marijuana is not illegal for the fact that it is too much of a danger for people to be doing. Marijuana is illegal because our greedy ass Government needs more money. Not because they give a shit about how many people die. If they did, they'd be shutting down those tobacco plants. Yet have they? They have done nothing to reduce the deaths by cigarettes and I and many are tired of it.

The facts about Cigarettes is that it kills millions of smokers each year. Although, how many of those people actually smoke cigarettes? I do not know the ratio but many of the people who have lung cancer caused by cigarettes isnt from them smoking, but from another person smoking it near them and them inhailing the smoke. 2nd hand smoke kills children and robs people of their right to live, the fact that people are still smoking these things are making me sick. There isnt a single drop of good that comes from Cigarettes aside from the fact that it calms you down, but how high of a risk do you have to take to just calm yourself down? Do you really need to turn your lungs black as if they've been burned? Do you really need to put holes in your throat? Do you really need to hold cancer inside of your mouth? Were talking about a legal substance that is murdering and it isnt just a few, its millions and millions of people. Marijuana kills next to none.

While on the topic of 2nd hand smoke I've had some time to think and get opinions of those who get 2nd hand smoke in their lungs everday. Most say they dont mind, some say its unpleasant. So if you do not mind that youre inhailing your own death, then why would you care if someone smoke a marijuana joint right beside you? The exhailed smoke of marijuana kill 0, it has no effect on those and at most would turn lungs black from years of 2nd hand smoke.

Yet why is this demon still allowed? Why are people allowed to kill themselves? Because your government that you so proudly pay 15% of taxes needs more money. The fact that if tobacco was illegal they would destroy a business worth billions of dollars. Tobacco companies make billions of dollars each year because people are addicted, and its not right. The legalization of Marijuana would not bring death and destruction but rather a ease in all those minds who smoke it.

So you ask, why IS it that marijuana is illegal? Because your half assed government makes more money off of tickets and charging people with posession, trafficing and smoking it then they would if they taxed marijuana. So you tell me whats fair, allowing people to inhail a nearly pure chemical rolled cigarette, or a naturally grown plant?

Now I know what youre thinking by now. MARIJUANA HAS CHEMICALS! Yes it does, but thats when people toy with natures creations. The fact that marijuana is toyed with and chemicals are put on it means nothing, because even with all of its chemicals it still kills less and does less cancerous damage to your lungs. If anything altered Cannabis plants should be illegal, but home grown Cannabis plants with no mixture of chemicals are illegal? How is that fair? This plant was not created by some crazy drug addict to get people high, it was created by mother nature and yes so is cocaine plants. The difference is that cocaine plants isnt what you sniff, cocaine plants contain the basics of the drugs, until people add in chemicals and turn it into a powder. With a cannabis plant, you pick it, dry it, smoke it.

Where is the fairness in not allowing natural cannabis plants to be grown and smoked? If sess(the type of marijuana with no chemicals) is not cancerous and contains no chemicals, then why is it illegal? Because its categorized to be put with the other types of marijuana and again, the government wants money.
