It's funny how hello is always
accompanied with goodbye.
It's funny how good memories
can start to make you cry.
It's funny how forever
never seems to really last.
It's funny how much you'd lose
if you forgot about your past.
It's funny how "friends" can just
leave you when you're down.
It's funny how when you need someone
they're never around.
It's funny how people change
and think they're so much better.
It's funny how many lies
can be packed in one "love letter".
It's funny how people forgive
even though they can't forget.
It's funny how one night
can contain so much regret.
It's funny how ironic life turns out to be
but the funniest part of all
is that none of that is funny to me.

How can i tell you,
that i like you
when you sit there playfully, so innocent
You prance around like you suspect nothing.
Maybe you dont know, maybe you do.
I've never really met a girl like you.
You dont judge me, like most girls.
and hopefully you will read this; and relize this is about you.
I enjoy talking to you, although, i enjoy talking to many.
but your the number one.
We seem so alike, yet so different.
I get butterfly's in my stomach when your around,
and i feel like i have to run, but i dont want to leave you stranded.
Because i know how it feels. But you wouldent KNOW your stranded
because your always surrounded by amazing friends.
I wish i could express this to you.
But i just cant.
I guess i will have to admire you from afar.

Christmas

eggnog, tinsel, falling snow,
buttered rum and mistle toe
trimming trees and hanging lights
the sound of carrolers fill the night.
shopping hours long and hard
visa phones and cancels card.
unpaid bills and mounting depts
family gathers depression sets.
drinking starts harsh words are said,
disfunction reers its yuletyde head.
arguement turns to shoven,
drunken brother punches cousin
tree tips over popping lights
curtains catch, house ignites
no one hears the reindeer cries
wedged in chimney santa dies
though he kicked and did prospire
his chestnuts roasted on an open fire
