My rant:

After spending some time perusing the various forums on this site and others, i've come to the conclusion that a lot of people take life for granted. Kids complain about "no one understanding them" and "so and so called me a (promiscuous girl), my life is over!". That's just teenage angst, take a look around you and grow the **** up. We are fortunate to live where we do, to have the feeling of security and freedom we do. We are fortunate that we do not have to worry about being shot at on our way to work/school by someone with different religious/political backgrounds. Education is a right to all of us. and not a select few.
There are people around the world dying of diseases that we have cures for. Some are dying in unjust wars, or just getting caught in the crossfire of a power struggle. And some even from a lack of food. All the while, people in first world countries are having extreme rates of obesity, munching down their greasy mcdonalds burgers whilst watching the glorified "battle on terror" in the comfort and safety of their own living rooms. They whine about their insignificant others, about what clothing other people wear, and any other trivial issue they can find under the sun.
I don't claim to be better than anyone by ranting about this, but seriously, take a look around and appreciate what you have because you were fortunate enough to be born where you were. Little jimmy called you a *****. So ******* what. Be fortunate that that is the biggest issue of your life and that you're not being raped by a foreign country's occupying soldiers in a back alley. Be thankful that you can CHOOSE to join the military. And be thankful you do not have to sleep with an AK-47 under your pillow. Think about the people that don't get those liberties, and keep your whining to yourself.

Mountain biking, playing guitar and driving. Those are my therapeutic outlets. I don't know what i'd do if i couldn't do them anymore.

That feeling you get when you're totally absorbed and completely involved in what you're doing that you lose sense of where you are, who you are and, for that moment you hit that euphoric place....very intense; a better high than any drug can ever give. Longing to go back to that place in BC where those 10 seconds riding down that particular portion of trail seemed like an eternity. My most vivid memory, i can see the knee high green grass amongst the trees with a narrow single track cut through it...the sounds of birds in the trees and the smell of fresh forest air.

Upbeat, happy people rock. And not fake happy either, but genuine happiness. People like that can change the mood of an entire room with a hello and a smile.

Liars, fakers, cheaters, stealers. Be yourself or **** off.
Shitty drivers, stupid people, GEORGE W. BUSH, powerhungry cops, crooked child molesting priests, western canadian political parties, eastern canadian political parties, morbid obesity, kids wearing their hats crooked, those bastards in previews of movies that are all "please don't pirate, i'm a set designer and it cuts into my low salary" after i've ******* PAID TO SEE THE GOD DAMN MOVIE!!!

Holy shit, how do people not realize that when you pull up to a gas pump, you go ALL THE WAY TO THE LAST FUCKING ONE!!!@! I mean, it's not like theres anyone behind you waiting to get to one of the 4 pumps you have blocked off, nor is anyone else NEVER in a rush. Take your time, we have aaaaaall day.

Being used/taken for granted.

And more recently, people that take life too seriously. I mean honestly, RELAX. Life is entirely too short to be worried about who's talking about you behind your back, thinking you're too ugly to get yourself a significant other, thinking you're fat, etc. In the end, we're all the same and if someone can't look past any flaws you have, they're not worth knowing in the end.
