we're all special in our own way.
that doesn't mean that any one in particular is "special".
we let our talents, our personalities and our attitudes define us.
my talent is makeup.
my personality is optimistic, spunky and down-to-earth.
my attitude is positive, with a side serving of concern of my loved ones.
but at the end of the day...
i'm just like the next boy who wears makeup. i'm still human.

A PIECE OF ME

who am i?

I am many things, to say the least.

I am what one might call a genderfuck. I'm still a perfect male, with no alterations to my body whatsoever. My appearance, however, confuses many. I don't like how it confuses people, but I laugh just the same. When there are no words to state the obvious, laughter is the next best thing.

I like make-up. Since I was just entering adolescence, I've always had a unique interest in makeup. Four years later, I'm living my dream by studying make-up artistry in Vancouver, British Columbia. Does the make-up industry scare me? Hell no. It excites me.

I have a fascination with rude people, or people who are miserable. Whenever I encounter such a person, I want to know more of why they are the way they presented themselves to me. I've gone through many things in my life, and I'm not the kind of person to take things for granted. I have the mentality that every good thing in life is earned. Happiness is achieved through hard work, and self-earned accomplishments. You will never be happy till you get your hands dirty in whatever it is you're doing. I've learned this young, and have lived by it every day; my happiness comes from my own accomplishments in life, and how far I've come.

I'm grateful for everything I've ever received. My friends are on the top of this list. They have helped me come so far, have laughed and cried with me, and have supported me for just who I am, and I am so thankful for that.
My mother is on the very top of this list of everything that's included in my life. Through thick and thin, she has always been by my side. I have friends whose parents don't support them, and it breaks my heart. If it wasn't for my mother, I wouldn't be where I am today... And I am very grateful for her.

The smallest things in life can be the most cherished ones... You just have to realize what they are before they're gone. I learned that the hard way.
