Ok enough pictures. On to the "Review"
First thing. I love Intel. Second, I love Intel. Also DFI And Thermalright.
My previous setup, Asus M2N-E and X2 5200+, Super Pi, 1 Million, 32 seconds. Intel, same clock speed as my AMD. Half the time.
Umm, ok so I dont get all confused.
Thermalright Ultima 90+Arctic Cooling 34CFM 92MM
Wow... First thoughts when i opened the box, "This isnt as nearly as big or heavy as i thought it would be." Yeah... that dont meant JACK! Holy crap does this thing cool. Stock settings, 24 idle, 30 load, Amb 20 Degrees. Wow. This thing reeks of awesome. The corners, holy cow i think i cut my hands 3 or 4 times. Not horrible, but more than i thought i would working on a computer. The mounting installation, a tad complicated for someone who has never used a back plate, but i got her on. More temps at the overclock section.
Processor
Its a budget chip til the 8400's are in, but holy crap. Overclocks well, and is a speedy little devil even at stock settings. not bad for a $120. Cant wait to see what my 8400 is able to do.
Motherboard
Ok so as much as i said i love intel, Im never switching from DFI. This board looks absolutely gorgeous. The layout is awesome. The options... Oh my jesus, there is TOO many. The only bad thing i have to say about this board is that there are not enough Fan Headers. And of the 3, they are on the left side of the board, so my front fan is now connected via 4 pin. That says a lot right there. Thats my only complaint. As well, the one i got, ALL solid caps. I was so stoked. Just, ugh. I love this board.
Overclocks
Well i took my 2.2 chip to 3ghz on stock settings. Ive yet to find my FSB wall. I need to mess with the voltages and find out what the max i want to pump into this chip is. I want to push it, but not kill it. So far ive taken the FSB to 450, multi X6. ive gotten it to boot at 3.6, but i blue screened after about a minute in windows. thats with voltage at about 1.35-1.4, somewhere in there.
Was running the voltage at 1.36. Errors in Orthos after 30 minutes.
Now she is pumped to 1.42. Orthos still going after an hour and a half.
Temps
Amb 20
CPU According to DFI Software, 58-64 at load.
Core 1 56-60 Core Temp & Everest
Core 2 56-60 Core Temp & Everest
Chipset 55C According to DFI Software
System 49 DFI Software
1.42 Vcore
1.3 NB
2.1 RAM
So, i guess thats all. Any suggestions or advice to get more out of this chip is appreciated. Safe temps? Im trying to stay below 60 CPU, and 50 NB.

***Update***
As of right now, i am running 3.4Ghz with Ram on a 1:1 at 378 4 4 4 12. Might try for a 400 FSB at 3.2 to get the full potiential out of my RAM. Also I got a Thermalright HR-05 IFX Northbridge Heatsink. Did wonders for tempratures, but did not increase max overclock.
