I'd have thought I was normal until I was told many times that I'm not, but I'll just insist that I'm not different. We may be, but I'm not in a mental asylum, so my views are as normal as anybody else's.
I live in Australia, but I'm entirely European apart from my citizenship.
I'm very in love. Somehow I click with my kareshi; more than I have almost anybody else, only succeeded by my best friend of whom I've known since I was 8. I value manners, grammar, respect (for yourself and others). I don't like children, why? They're all brats with no manners or respect. I had a "fart bomb" thrown at me while I was minding my own business at the park. Please tell me this is only the kids around my area?
I go in and out of phases like I would socks, if I used socks that often anyway. I've studied ballet, jazz ballet, Indonesian, taekwondo, kick boxing, singing, modeling, guitar, sewing, and I'm sure I've dabbled in many other things on a not-so-serious level. I studied Japanese in junior high school, but that isn't a phase. I plan to study this at university. I want to better my sewing, and further study ballet. I'm on a budget right now, or I'd dress Lolita everyday.
Lolita, you say?Lolita is a Japanese born fashion based on Europe's (more specifically France) romantic era. Rococo is the main influence, for all Lolita that is not Mana-brand. Lolita in Japan has nothing to do with underage girls in sexually suggestive situations. It does emphasize childlikeness, but in a much more doll-like way. The aim is to look as graceful and elegant as a porcelain doll, or as prim as a lady in France's Rococo era.
There are Livejournal communities dedicated to this (egl) and handbooks as well (lolita-handbook). There are published "magazines" (more accurately dubbed "mooks" - magazine books, for their thickness) called "Gothic & Lolita Bibles" which are very broad in topic. While it does have Lolita in it, please don't pick one up, flick through the punk Lolita sections and pass that off as Lolita as a whole. It's a sub-category, which you can learn a lot about if you'd like to.
THINGS I LIKE
Author: Oscar Wilde
Languages: Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Swedish, Italian, French, German, Irish, Croatian
^ Of which I only know a little Japanese. I am Irish and Croatian, yet know none of the languages.
Food style: I don't like much food, I'm extremely picky.
"Sport": If you mean PE, I don't do that, ever. I failed PE year after year. Is ballet a sport? I like Martial Arts as well, but I wouldn't like to label either of them as a sport. I consider them both an art-form.
Photography: black and white/dark room photography. I'll scan an example in sooner or later.
Music: Rock, JRock, JPop (Chieco Kawabe - Candy Baby, hehe) Classical/Romantic,
"Foreign": a Swedish song I've recently discovered through an AMV is one by Nanne Grönvall called "Håll om mig" (Hold Me Now). Search "Princess Tutu AMV - Hold Me Now" on Youtube. It's absolutely brilliant. I like music, I have 26GB or so of it.
