I remember the day you were born, you were so tiny. Just holding you was like a dream. Looking at you now, it makes me happy that I'm making my largest attempt to be in your life. My father was never in my life, and he never even tried to be. He didn't even say anything to me when you were born. Your uncle loves you, and he misses you. I can't wait until you grow to be my age. I can't wait to watch you grow just in general. I'm happy, and scared. This is a crazy world, and I know that there's going to be sometimes when I can't help you. There will be moments where I'll be useless. I promise that I will always try. I want to be there for you first day of school, and even your last day of school. I want to have the feeling of despair when you get old enough to move out on your own. Your first camping trip, when you scrape your knee. Or when you experience the first moment of having your heart broken. I will always love you, and I hope that you will always love me my first born. You came into my life so I could have a reason to live.
