Well ladies and gents, I'm back in school for another fun-filled year and this year I've made three large decisions. More like resolutions, actually, but here they are anyways:
1) Neither borrower or lender be -- I have resolved to stop lending people money (due to the "never see it again" syndrome) and things, as well as cease to borrow said things myself as I have come to accept that I have a problem when it comes to returning said borrowed items.
2) Friends will be friends -- I know I'll get some flack for this but here it is. I can no longer be attempting to get together with my friends for "casual" hangout times. I have very little time during the school year and, as my full time job at the mine showed me, even less during the summer. I will come to parties if I can but I have little to no time for movies or even going out for supper. Call me to chat, which I will do my best to make time for, but I can't making any promises. If I have to cancel, then I have to cancel and harassing me about "always" canceling will not encourage me to spend time with you. My close, wonderful, and fabulously low maintenance friends... I love you all, thank you for not making my life more stressful, and thank you for being such awesome and understanding friends. I don't deserve you, but never think I don't appreciate you.
To those who have decided that if I can't hang out then there's no point to being friends, or those who feel they must see me on a regular basis to remain friends with me, I apologize profusely... but there is little that I am willing to sacrifice. School is my life (hence why I am single) and I will not compromise it for friends who are unwilling to try to understand my point of view. Those who know me will understand. Those who don't... I thank you for the memories and wish you the best for the future
