Some thing struck me recently, there has been a complete breakdown of individuality in todays society. Granted it's not our fault, everything has just been done before, and when someone does make a statement soon throngs of people follow suit a sort of grab the rug out from under them. Perhaps we're all just to caught up with trying to be different that we don't realize that we're conforming. I mean seriously think about some of the horrible trends that have emerged through out the years and forgive me but I'm going to use emo as an easy example. Now i don't have anything against anyone personally but they are perhaps the worst fashion victims of our generation, and the only reason i can think of that would have caused this to occur is that they think that looking goofy as shit is the only way to be different, when in all actuality they are not being different at all, rather they're just conforming to another sub culture, and since when did looking stupid connote individuality. Now emos are not the only ones guilty of thins but gangsters and punks have both turned into fashion victims over the years as well. I think the sad thing is a lot of us have actually started to believe that what our particular subculture is sporting looks good when chances are that five years earlier we would have thought they looked like fucking idiots. Hell i sported a mohawk and i still think it looked fucking great. But anyways Fuck it we're all conformists but we do what we like, it only will only a problem when the"scene" dictates every aspect of our lives.

Yes, but there are rules that dictate what is acceptable in society, i only commented on superficial aspects, but our conformity does run deeper than that. I mean do you know anyone that voices what they really think on everything, probably not. We censor ourselves in an attempt to be accepted or even to appear compassionate, imagine if you told everyone what you really think of them it probably wouldn't be a pretty sight.
