You lace up the skates, put on the gloves, strap on the helmet, and walk on to the ice and it doesn't matter that you failed a test, are fighting with your friends, or that you got a ticket on the way there...you're world is right for the next couple hours.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
If you havn't dropped the mitts, packed a lip, or had a frosty mug to your lips, your not a real hockey player, and if you are.....your not a very good one.
What do you call a life that's been nothing but hockey?...I call it time well spent!
