Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth.




I wear this crown of thorns upon my liar's chair. its full of broken thoughts, I cannot repair. beneath the stains of time the feelings disappear. you are someone else I am still right here. what have I become? my sweetest friend, everyone I know goes away in the end. and you could have it all, my empire of dirt. I will let you down. I will make you hurt. if I could start again, a million miles away. I would keep myself. I would find a way.

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."












So in the end, was it worth it? Jesus Christ. How irreparably changed my life has become. It's always the last days of summer and I've been left out in the cold with no door to get back in. I'll grant you I've had more than my share of poignant moments. Life passes most people by when they're busy making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost barely enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent.
