trying to get the blue back into your sky

[love is the mutual desire to understand, and to be understood]

you are only coming through in waves
your lips move but i can’t hear what you’re sayin'
when i was a child i caught a fleeting glimpse,
out of the corner of my eye
i turned to look but it was gone.
i cannot put my finger on it now.
the child is grown, the dream is gone.
i have become comfortably numb.

Jack: Brian! I can't understand what she's saying! I need you to translate it for me!
Brian: She wants to ride in the front seat, Jack!
Jack: Hahaha, What??!?!?!
Brian: SHE WANTS TO BE UP FRONT AND TANK AND NOT STAY IN THE BACK SEAT AND HEAL!@$!
Jack: OH I UNDERSTAND!

[Almost everyone i know talks about how it's bad to change for anyone, but everyone neglects to say how they all change because of someone. Absolutely every individual is subject to change from outside stimulus. No matter how strong-willed you think you are, you are constantly changing and evolving. Every cell in your body dies and regenerates after 7 years or so, so why do you still call yourself the same person? Humans are constantly shifting and evolving organisms, our frames of reference, morals, ideas on life, paradigms, etc are stuck in an infinite shift and the people you hang out with are a huge factor in those things. So quit trying to pretend you're not changing for somebody else, because you're always changing with somebody else.]

Halesyo! says:
okay so don't tell her this right now, but like, after Bryan Adams be like "so, how'd you like him?"

Halesyo! says:
and then she'll be like "he was amazing!"

Halesyo! says:
and then say "yea, soo... i have this cousin named brian, he's pretty amazing too"

Halesyo! says:
hahaha

Halesyo! says:
annd then she'll fall in love

-NOTICE: it didn't work.-

was i just a car crash? a scribbled note in your ten-year old journal?
[/i]

I like nice scenery, people are interesting yet terribly confusing at times, I like to visit farms but I don't think I'd ever want to live at one; it would wear out the unfamiliarity of it all. I love cars, guitars, roughly 80% of music I hear, and friends that kick ass. I hardly ever read but I wish I had the motivation to read more, and writing music is a passion of mine. I also enjoy writing and art but I haven't done much of either of those lately. I love it when people comb my hair because I just daze off into some other world where I'm really happy and love everything around me. Super nintendo rocks my elbow, knees, and other important joints off.
little games people play are crazy. i'm not a huge fan! also, my grandma is slightly crazy.
i like doing things myself without help, no offence to you or anything but that's just how i roll i guess.
um.. my page is filled with random quotes from different things, i thought they were all pretty sweet!
if you can name which things they're all from (without cheating, we're using an honour system here folks!) i'll... bake you a batch of cookies. for real. just comment me with the names of them all.

and halfway through the night can we talk and see, 'cause
there's no way i'll sleep when you're with me

I can't stand ground-beef based meals on hot days. I like walking in the rain, and I detest lies, even if they're said to not hurt someone's feelings. I'd rather have someone know the truth about the situation so they can make decisions based on that instead of falsified truths said to 'not hurt feelings'. I love to eat fruit. I'd really like to have a kitty but my mom's allergic to cats, so alas. no catta. "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" is a sweet book; you should go rent it. Or whatever you do for books.

measuring a summer's day, i only find it slips away to grey
[/i]

I quit nissan and drove off for three weeks with Jak0 to the west coast. lemme tell you it was incredibly sweet possibly sweeter than nanaimo bars. we didn't visit nanaimo, however we learnt the story behind how they were made in abbotsford. you learn so much about yourself and how you work and manage with everyone else while on extended trips away from home, personally i learnt what it is to actually miss people for their own characteristics and traits, things that you can't replace with someone else who can sufficiently fulfill your heart. also i learnt all kinds of things about non-romantic love, which is fantastic. and camping and how MICE CAN FIND WAYS INTO MY CAR AND EAT ALL THE BREAD. and how stones suck to sleep on! i learnt something about what's worthwhile in life, and work is waaaay down at the bottom.
You don't see people lying on their deathbed wishing they had spent more time at the office.

That being said, I've started working at Roger's Video on 8th and Mckertcher and it's a pretty good time. A little while back we hooked up Guitar Hero to the main T.V. and P.A. system and we had employees and customers just chillin out playing Guitar Hero and it was on every single T.V. in the store and it was coming through all the speakers. it was so sweet.

last night i was looking for some romance, so i went to a square dance, feelin' like a circle.

On my next resume I want to put "Is experienced with handling money" and then put the Monopoly Man as one of my references.

['I' is not an answer, it is a question to the observer]

it's the feeling that you're falling, but there's a fine line between falling and flying

SLURPEES!

he says, "son, can you play me a memory?
i'm not really sure how it goes
but it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
when i wore a younger man's clothes"

i used to have a thing here explaining why nerds were cool because they wern't stuck up and they were easy to get along with, but some of them are real jerks!!! so i took it down. way to ruin my hopes and dreams! but don't worry, it wasn't really your fault. it's mine. for believing in you. haha just kidding, but still, don't try to show off to me by telling me how many level 60's you have in warcraft, or arguing the plot holes in final fantasy seven for a half hour. it's not impressing anyone.

take your whore-lips and make me slowly in the image of your perfection

you'll be a hummingbird. and i'll be a bumblebee. and we will fall in love in our new skin.
we will talk all night about our philosophies. as we lay wondering what comes at the end
...i hope i meet you again.

and on lonely evenings of self, i go salsa dancing with my confusion

WTF, LIKES?!

I don't believe in fate, but recently I've been toying around with the idea of the world always finding an equilibrium, which directs choices so everything works out... doesn't necessarilly mean work out Evenly... but so that things function. Ever wonder why the "Fast lane" of traffic isn't the only lane people use? like, why would anyone ever use the 'slow' lane? there is an example of this equilibrium i was talking about, if the fast lane is full people will go to the 'slow' lane, and both lanes end up filled with cars. everything works out just from the way things are and the choices people make. not necesarilly fate, but still a same kind of idea, you're just lead to a choice instead of you being commited to one, as part of the world all coming to terms with itself.

tonight, do you think that we could be human?

"This is not some mamby-pamby-pop-culture-vomit, regurgitating or emulating something else. These are whispers
from the underworld and tears of joy from heaven. These are anthems for all time." - Anton Newcombe

oh the glory when you ran outside, with your shirt tucked in and you shoes untied, and you told me not to follow you.

I love the idea that there is a collective subconsciousness and that if you were lucidly dreaming you could channel yourself through that space of nothingness between everyone's subconscious thoughts and that you could find other people's dreams in this strange subconscious realm and then you could meet up with them and hang out and then tell them they were dreaming so they'd become lucid too!! wow!

if you lay me down in concrete fields,
will i dream of grass and opera? this is the sound
and how it feels to be dead

ohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=pFlcqWQVVuU I WISH I WAS THAT INTENSE
o80's Music, hahaha it's so funny. And other weird types of music. like ambient psychadelic icelandic pop instrumentals and 70's bubblegum pop rock, among others
oSmoothies!!!! holy!!
oChicken
oHow headphones make the music sound like it's inside your head
oGiving someone a pile of leaves to jump in for their birthday
oThe idea that drawing two straight lines on a picture can change the whole feeling behind it, then trying to apply that in real life and thinking of where you'd put your two lines and what they'd be
oPizza
oWhen you devise a system to check out girls and notify your best friend out in the open without the girl knowing that both me and my friend are going to jump her pants
oWhen my Winamp's playlist is randomized and the play style picks a random song each time. how freakin random is that! it rules.
oWhere is my mind? Oh, there it is, way out on the water. See, it's swimming!
oTrees that bend to the side
oApple Juice - probably the biggest and most influential aspect of my life
oPie
oHaving really complex midnight snacks with friends
oWhen you listen to music in headphones really loudly and you walk around and can't hear the noise of the world around you, like in a movie where it's really busy but they cut all the noise out and just have music
oI love thinking about how awkward it is for everyone who takes pictures of themselves kissing someone or takes pictures of themselves in their underwear. I can just imagine someone sitting in their room and stripping down to take a picture of themselves on webcam and how intensly awkward it would be if someone came in and saw them sitting there in their underwear with a webcam going, bhahhaha.. or like saying "heres a camera, take a picture of me kissing this guy so i can put it on nex". When you think about how they actually get pictures like that taken, it all seems so ridiculous. That's not them being theirself. It's them posing for the sole purpose of nexopia. It's retarded actually. Oh, and this is under "Likes" because i actually think it's really funny and I laugh everytime I see pictures like that.
oThird-person future tense emphatic sentences
oHow the first person on the block gets to choose whatever style of fence he wants and everyone beside him or behind him have to either pick the same fence or pick a different style of fence and then his fences won't all match up
oMilkshakes!! Highway to my heart = milkshakes
oAwkward pictures about my "Likes"

oBurning down old abandoned farmhouses after exploring them
oDays in fall where you think it's going to be really really cold out but then you go outside and say 'holy man it's a thousand times nicer out than i thought it was!'
oSitting by a lake on one of those days and text messaging people about all the things you've experienced that day that rock while running the risk of being late for an interview
oSitting by the river
oBoardwalks
oCars
oGuitars
oCats
oThe phrase "Luscious Tits!"
oGirls, they're pretty cool.

[more pics from the amazing jack and brian roadtrip in the gallery!]

SUCK.

oGirls, they're pretty confusing.
oHow my pictures don't show up anymore
oRepeating words/phrases underneath of nexopia pictures
oThings that are too cool for me to understand
oEating shrimp
oBeing itchy
oWhen people describe themselves while in the third person on Nex without using future tense emphatic verbs
oWalmart. yar!
oWhen people only talk to others when they want stuff. You know who you are.
oPeople who create a direct relationship with 'vocabulary' and 'intellect' and assume that without one the other cannot exist.
oWanksters
oWhen icing is left in your car and it gets cold and you can't squeeze it out of the tube into your mouth

I was just trying to say something beautiful
something meaningful
but you can't live in the world just breathing
beautiful
no, you can't live in the world just being
meaningful
