Kevin opened the text message and read it.
"I'm sorry, i cant go anywhere. i hope the surprise wasn't too big.
+ we need to talk later, maybe i'll sneak out later tonight. Sorry.

Kevin dropped his head.
Joe: What's wrong?
Kevin: I just need to be alone.
Joe: Alright.
Joe walked out of the room and went downstairs.
Kevin dialed Alex's number.

Alex laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her phone rang and the screen said Kevin.
Alex: Kevin, thank god you called! My mom...
Kevin: Alex, you need some explaining to do.
Alex's heart sank. She thought she did something bad.
Alex: Okay.
Kevin: I'm not sure if this is true. But Joe told me you were with another guy today.
Alex: It's not what it looks like.. My mom forced me to go.
Kevin: Okay, but why didn't you tell me?
Alex: I was going to, but i couldn't.
Kevin: Reason?
Alex: What? Kevin, the lines breaking up.
Kevin: Huh?
Kevin looked down at his phone.
Call lost.
He sighed and put the phone back on the table and went to sleep.
Alex looked down at her phone as it read " Call Ended ". She didn't know what was going to happen
the next day.

Joe walked downstairs and sat in front of the TV. He turned it on and was watching a celebrity gossip show.
Reporter: This just in! Claire, Joe Jonas' girlfriend was spotted recently with another guy. What's happening!
The reporter winked at the screen.
Joe rolled his eyes and went upstairs into his room. He picked up his phone and dialed Claire's number.
Claire: Hello?
Joe: Claire, you wouldn't believe what i saw on TV. You.
Claire: I was on TV? How?
Joe: I think they saw you with Nate.
Claire: Oh my god. We're just friends.
Joe: Yeah.
Claire: Yeah well, i gotta go now. Dinner. Bye.
Joe: Bye.
Joe put down his phone and went to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY
Alex hadn't got much sleep during the night. She was only thinking about Kevin, and what would happen the next day.
Alex's mom knocked on the door.
Mom: Wake up and get ready, you're going out for brunch.
Alex got up from her bed.
Alex: With who?
Mom: With Cody. Now hurry up. Your ride will be here in fifteen minutes.
Alex: But Mom!
Mom: No but's or your never leaving the house.
Alex got ready in a few minutes, and waited by the door.
Cody: Mom, why do i have to go out with Alex again!
Mom: No questions or your never leaving the house again. Now go. The limo's outside.
Alex was still thinking about Kevin, and the whole situation. Her phone started ringing, it reading Kevin. She was about to answer it, but the limo was outside. She put her phone back in her purse and went outside.

Claire took a seat at the table and Joe followed her with a bowl of macaroni and cheese.
Claire: Maybe we should tell Kevin.
Joe: That Alex was with another guy, maybe you should talk to Alex, because how do we know its not her cousin.
Claire: Because she's my best friend and i've met her cousin.
Joe: Maybe it was a secret brother.
Claire: Really, Joe a secret brother.
Joe: You never know.
Joe dug into the macaroni.
Claire: Just tell Kevin.
Joe: Why me?
Claire: Your his brother.
Joe: What am I suppose to say, Oh Hey Brother, i think your girlfriend is seeing another guy

Claire: I have to go home, dinner, remember im dont live here.

Joe walked Claire to the door. Claire leaned in and kissed him.
Claire: Talk to Kevin, then call me, i'll come later tonight.
Joe smiled and Claire walked off the porch. Claire walked along the sidewalk to her house.
Nate: Claire!
Joe looked again.
Claire crossed over to Nate's house.
Claire: Hey!
Nate: Are you busy, come over for a bit.
Claire: Uhh, maybe for a few minutes.
Nate: Cool.
Claire went to Nates house and Joe closed the door.

An hour passed and Kevin was in his room.
Nick and Christina were back at her house and Joe was also there.
Joe went upstairs to Kevins room with a cup of starbucks and Nick grabbed the box and walked out of his room to go into Kevin's.

Joe: I'm going to talk to Kevin.
Nick: No. Joe I am!
Joe: NO, Nicholas..
Nick paused.
Nick: OH JOE! CLAIRE!
Joe looked back.
Nick pushed him and opened Kevins door and slammed it.
Joe stood there.
Joe: Did i just get powned.
Nick quickly opened the door.
Nick: Yes Joseph!
Nick quickly slammed the door a bit out of breath and turned around.
Kevin: What was that about?
Nick: Nothing!
Kevin: Oh..Okay.
Nick: Soo....

Nick took the box from his pocket.
Nick: Whats this.
Kevin: A box.
Nick: That i found at the your little picnic.
Kevin grabbed it.
Kevin: Oh thanks I forgot to go grab it.
Nick: Kevin, are you 100% sure that you want to take this step, cause..
Kevin: What are you talking about.
Kevin opened the box, it was a necklace.
Kevin: Its a necklace.
Nick: Oh soo, your not proposing to her.
Kevin: No.
Nick: Oh, well Joe wants to talk to you.
Kevin: Okay give me a minute.
Nick stepped out and Kevin walked to his side table and opened the drawer. He put the box in his hand back in and took another one out, he opened it and the shine of the diamond reflected in his eyes.
Joe came in and he dropped it back into the drawer and closed it.
Kevin: Starbucks.
Joe smiled.
Joe: YEP!
Kevin: Your energetic.
Joe: I TOOK A SIP.
Kevin: a sit.
Joe: YEP!
Kevin took the coffee.
Kevin: So what do you want?
Joe: Why do i have to want something.
Kevin: Your approaching me with starbucks.
Joe: Well you can't get mad at me, im like the messanger.
Kevin: Okay, what?
Joe: I saw, well me and Claire saw Alex with someone else today and claire said it wasnt anyone she knew BUT we dont know, i just telling you to be careful.
Kevin: I thought she was at her moms.
Joe: So did we.
Kevin phone vibrated and he took it out his pocket, he looked at the screen that read "Alex"

Christina: UH Nick, give me a minute.
Nick nodded. Christina closed the door and she walked out.
Christina: Hey.
Jake: I'm moving back.
Christina: Are you.
Jake: Yeah.

Jake: I dont think so.
Christina: When are you going?
Jake: Tonight.
Christina: And you didnt tell me.

Christina hugged him.

He walked off the porch and back to his house. Christina went back inside her house.

They entered the store and they eat got a pair of pants and a shirt to go along. They came out laughing at the cash register employee.

Claire: Isn't she suppose to be at her moms.

Joe and Claire left and Alex and Cody grabbed something to eat and headed home.
Alex stopped over at Christina's house.
She opened the door.
Kevin was waiting on the couch.
Alex: Hey!
Kevin: Oh, are you ready.
Alex: Yeah, im just going to grab something at my house
Kevin: Okay.
Alex: So where are we going?
Kevin: It's a surprise.
Alex: Oh is it, you've got a lot of surprises.
Kevin: Well I have a lot more up a sleeves.

Alex: You dont have any sleeves.

Alex laughed.
Alex: Well for you, I guess it doesn't.
He leaned down and kissed her.

Alex: I'll be five minutes, im just going to run home and grab some stuff and i'll be right back.
Alex went over to her house. Her mom was waiting for her.
Mom: Why are you here so earlier.
Alex: Uhh me and cody got tired, yeah.
Mom: Really
Alex: Yeah, I'll just be at Christina's house alright.
Mom: No.
Alex: What, why, i always go there.
Mom: But Kevins there is he.
Alex: He stays there.
Mom: Exactly.
Alex: Why can't i be with him.
Mom: Because im telling you not to.
Alex: What's wrong with Kevin.
Mom: He's a celebrity
Alex: He's different.
Mom: I dont want to have this conversation AGAIN.

Mom: NO, i want you to go upstairs. Dinners in an hour.

Alex stormed up. She opened her phone.
"I'm sorry, i cant go anywhere. i hope the surprise wasn't too big.

Nick lead Christina to the lake close by the house. As they walked closer they saw a decorated blanket with roses on it.
Christina: This is beautiful, did you do this.
Nick: I wish i did, but i didnt.
Christina looked around to see a note and Nick looked in the basket.
Nick: Maybe we shouldnt sneak around.
Christina: Well it's your brother.
Christina handed the note with his name on to nick and he read it as his other hand has in the basket, he reached out a small box.
Christina: He's going to ask her to marry Alex!
Nick: Maybe there coming NOW!
Nick threw back the small box in the basket and put the note back.
Nick: HIDE!
Nick jumped and dived into a bush near by.
Nick: I want to see it.
Christina laughed.
Nick's head popped out.
Christina: And this is who im going to marry.
Nick: You love me.
Christina walked to towards him into the bush.

Alex: A date.
Mom: With Cody.
Alex: A DATE, MOM, im with Kevin
Mom: The Jonas, really, take your life a little seriously, he's a rockstar, he doesnt love you, they date celebritites not little fans.
Alex: He's not like everyone else.
Mom: Aren't they all the same. Why are you even dating him, we have a lot of money and we dont need his.
Alex: I DONT love him for the money.
Mom: Sure you dont, and NO you dont love him.
Alex: IM NOT GOING!
Mom: Your going or your never leaving the house!
Alex didnt want to go but she had to leave the house to see Kevin.
Alex: Fine.
Mom: I knew you'd come along, now get dressed.
Alex: Why can't I just wear this.
Mom: This is an important lunch, you cant wear that. Now go, you have 10 minutes.
Alex ran up mad and dressed up. She came back down to see Cody sitting down and her mom and his mom in the kitchen talking.
Cody sat up. She went up to him.
Cody: Hey..
Alex: Okay look i really dont want to be here.
Cody: Really! Thank god, i dont either.
Alex: Why are you?
Cody: My moms forcing me.
Alex: So is my mom.
Cody: Well this is going to be fun.
Alex: Maybe.
Alex's Mom: Ready to go.
Cody: Sure.
Cody's Mom: Limos outside.
Alex: Limo?
Cody: My mom likes to go over the top.
Alex: Oh wow.
Cody: I guess we should go.
They left.

Claire and Joe walked through the mall some what peaceful, there was a few camera flashes here and there and a few fan encounters but they were fine.
They walked throught a couple stores and decided to sit.
Joe: So guess what?
Claire: What?
Joe: Nick proposed to Christina!
Claire: WHAT! When's the wedding?
Joe: Dont you think they are too young.
Claire: i guess but if he's going to ask her in the future is there no differnce.
Joe: I guess.
Claire: Wait, what did she say?
Joe: I dont know what her final answer was but they seemed happy this morning.
Claire: I know, they're finally good.
Joe: I know, lets just hope it stays.
Claire: It will.
Nate: Claire?
Claire turned around.
Claire: Hey!
She got up to see a girl beside him. Joe got up.
Nate: Hey aren't you Joe?
Joe: Yeah.
Nate: That's cool. You never told me.
Claire: I was going to.
Nate: Oh and this is Sarah.
Sarah: Hey.
Nate: My girlfriend.
Claire: Cool, what are you guys doing here?
Nate: Just hanging around, we're about the leave.
Claire: Oh okay, see you later.
Nate turned around and walked away.
Joe: Who's that?
Claire: My next door neighbor, he just moved in.
Joe: Oh.

Cody and Alex got out of the limo, and entered a really really fancy dining area.
Alex: Wow.
Cody: This is my mom.
The place was packed.
Cody: This is what my mom owns.
Alex: So i guess we dont have to wait for a seat.
Cody laughed.
Cody: Im her son, i can get the best seat.
They went over to the side and talked to the manager. He lead them to the center of the dining area with a table with a rose.
Alex: This is a like wow.
Cody: You've said that like thirty times.
Alex: Yeah i know.
Cody: I dont want to be here though.
Alex: Yeah me neither.
Cody: I already had plans.
Alex: Yeah me too.
Cody: With who?
Alex swallowed the food in her mouth.
Alex: oh uh with someone.
Cody: Come on.
Alex: Oh its just we're trying to keep it to the down low.
Cody: oh thats different, but cool.
Alex: Well he is quite different from everyone else.
They continued eatting and all Alex could think about was Kevin. There was a table beside theirs. The waiters approached it and took the roses and the decorations off. Alex watched as they look it off.
Waiter: I hate it when we put the tables out properly and they cancel their reservations.
Waiter 2: Well i heard it was Kevin Jonas, no wonder, he's too busy.
The waiters walked away with the decorations and roses and the table was empty.
Alex: Maybe we should go.
Cody: Okay, my mom planned the whole day out.
Alex: The whole day!
Cody: I know she said its the whole day or i never leave to house.
Alex: Thats what my mom said but just for lunch, i didnt know it was the whole day.
Cody: We can ditch.
Alex: But the limos waiting.
Cody: We'll run.
Alex: Out run a limo, that might work.
Cody: Or we could go through the back doors.
Alex: Then we'll go to the mall first, i need to get into something normal.
Cody: Me too.

The doorbell rang and Christina got up to get it.

Nick got up and stood by Christina.

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
Nick: Different.
Joe got up and stepped out and closed the door and Nick sat beside her.
Nick: I know we’re young.
Christina: One year ago I was at your concert, and I was just fan, now I’m, you want me to be your wife.
Nick: We’ll wait.
Christina: For more then 5 years maybe 10
Nick and sat and actually thought about it. He didn’t want to wait 10 years, but they were only 16.
Nick: Will you marry me, 10 years from today.
Nick reached into his pocket and gabbed the ring.
Christina thought about it, she wanted to stay with him, but 10 years was scary, she didn’t want to wait either, but she knew they were to young.
Nick held out his hand with the ring lying in the middle. She looked at it and looked over at the drawer next to the bed. She slid over and opened it and took out the necklace. It dangled from her fingers. She closed Nicks hand and put the necklace on.
Christina: The ring can wait.
Nick: For ten years?
Christina: For ten years.
Christina face brightened as she smiled and Nick moved his hand towards her face and held on and pressed his lips against hers. He put the ring in her drawer and they fell asleep.
THE NEXT MORNING
Alex woke up to the smell of coffee. She got up and headed to the kitchen to see everyone with a cup of star bucks, Kevin walked up to her with a smile and handed her one.
Alex: Good Morning.
Kevin smiled.
Kevin: I have a surprise for you later.
Alex: I’ll get ready soon.
Kevin leaned down to kiss her.
They all sat around the table and finally relaxed and everyone was finally happy.
Time passed and it was 12 noon. Alex was getting ready and Joe and Claire was going to the mall. Christina and Nick stayed at home.
Alex came downstairs where Kevin was waiting for her.
Kevin: You look beautiful.
Alex: Thanks but im in jeans and a top.
Kevin: Does it really matter.
Alex face brightened and the sound of her phone ringing ruined the moment.
Alex: Oh hold on.
She flipped open her phone and answered.
Alex: Hello....WHAT! No...mom please, i made plans, its not like being there is going to change anything...No..why..FINE!
Kevin understood what was happening.
Alex slammed her phone shut and ran her fingers through her hair.
Alex: Im sorry, my moms.
Kevin smiled.
Kevin: We'll have dinner.
Alex: I hope i'll be here in time.
Kevin: I'll wait.
Alex: I'll just be over at my house.
Kevin leaned in to kiss her and kept a smile on his face until she left. She dropped himself on the couch.
Joe and Claire came downstairs ready to go to the mall.
Joe: Where's Alex?
Kevin: She had to go.
Claire: Didnt you guys have plans.
Kevin: Yeah, but its being delayed till dinner.
Claire: Want to come with us to the mall.
Joe bumped his shoulder against hers
Kevin: No thats alright.
Joe: OK, Claire lets go.
Claire: Call us if you need anything.
Joe: See ya.
Joe and Claire exited to house.

Alex got to her house, her mom was waiting.
Mom: Hurry up and change, you've got a date for lunch!

CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE
Kevin got up and gave Christina and Claire a hug.
Kevin: So what are we doing tonight?
Claire: We’ll wait for Alex.
Christina: And we’ll hang outside.
Joe: Okay.
They all sat back relaxed on the couch, Joe sat close to Claire and Kevin sat on the couch beside and Nick and Christina sat perfectly straight on the couch in front. Joe and Kevin were completely confused and so was Claire.

Alex stood by the door waving by the Cody and his mother, as soon as they were by the driveway, she dashed to Christina’s house.
Mom: Alex!
Alex: I’ll be back mom!
She ran as fast as she could, till she couldn’t feel her legs. She rang the doorbell. Kevin jumped up and quickly ran up to the door, she opened to see Alex there. She dropped into his arms.
Kevin: You didn’t have to run, I’ll wait all night for you.
Alex: I wanted to see you.
Kevin: I did too.
Alex: I missed you.
Kevin: Me too.
Alex lifted her face and Kevin leaned down and kissed her. She let go and pressed her head against his chest not wanting to let go until the chill of the wind caused she to shiver. He held her tighter and let go and lead her to the living room.
Alex: Hey guys.
Joe: Hey!
Nick: So I guess we’re going outside.
He awkwardly got up and went outside. The rest followed him and grabbed a jacket.
Joe: I want to start the fire!
Claire: No Joe, we might as well let Christina.
Joe+Christina: HEY!
Claire: Admit, you two both are too clumsy.
Christina: True.
Joe laughed and sat down.
Alex came out with the laptop and Kevin started the fire. Every sat on the seats by each other. Joe and Claire sat with each and so did Alex and Kevin except for Nick and Christina. Alex thought they worked it out but she guessed they didn’t. She turned on the laptop and switched to a movie.
Kevin put his hand over Alex.
Kevin: it’s good to be back.
Joe: I know.
They finished watching the movie and got up. The fire was still burning so Christina decided to stay.
Kevin: It’s been a long day, I’m going to bed.
Christina: Are you two staying over.
Alex: Yeah.
Claire: Sure. Joe are you going?
Joe: Nah, in a little bit.
Claire came down and Joe kissed her. Kevin and Alex both went inside and Nick slowly walked back.
Christina: Goodnight.
Nick: Night.
Nick went inside and Joe turned to Christina.
Joe: What’s happening here.
Christina: Where?
Joe: With you and NICK!
Christina: Nothing, its fine.
Joe: Oh really, he wanted to see you so bad that he went in the middle of the tour. And he’s back and nothings happening.
Christina: Well. I’ll show you.
Christina leaded him to her room. They got inside and she went into her drawer and grabbed a box. She opened it and there was a ring in there.
Joe: HE PROPOSED TO YOU!
Christina ran up and closed his mouth.
Christina: SHH!
Joe: What!
Christina: I was shocked too.
Joe: Did you say yes.
Christina: No
Joe: No?
Christina: Yes, well no in like no.
Joe: You said NO!
Christina: Well not exactly no, I wanted to say yes but I cant Joe, we’re way to young, he’s only sixteen and im not even sixteen yet.
Joe: Well I guess that’s a good point, but he proposed to you!
Christina: I know.
Joe took the box and looked at the ring and sat down,
Joe: Where did he get this, I don’t remember stopping at a jewelry store.
Christina: Don’t ask me, he came out of no where and proposed.
She sat down beside him.
Joe: So what did you exactly say to him.
Christina: Well he proposed and I said: We were to young, I said not now.
Joe: What if he proposed to you in 5 years.
Christina: Then it would be different.
Nick walked in.

CHAPTER THIRTY
Joe, Kevin and Nick placed the bags in their room and searched the house but no one was home. They assumed they forgot the date and went out, they waited at Christina’s house.

Christina finished school and walked back home, she remembered throughout the whole day they were coming back but on the walk back from school she kind of forgot. She walked along the side walk.
Alex was at her house and wanted to go to Christina’s house but her mom said she had to stay for an important dinner. She sat down and texted Kevin.
Claire was over at Nate’s house, he was showing her around the new place. They were starting to become really great friends. She played with his dog as he showed her pictures of his house and friends. She kept checking her watch, she knew he was here.

Nick: I don’t think so.
Kevin: Maybe they are just running late.
Joe: Yeah running late from what?
Kevin’s phone vibrated. He opened his phone and read the text message.
Kevin: Alex isn’t coming until later tonight.
Joe: Yeah what about Claire and Christina?

They sat there staring at the television.

Jake: I was wondering, if we could hang out im super bored.
Christina just stood there.

She closed her phone and dropped her bag on the ground.

Joe held on not wanting to let go and was loving that they were staying in Canada longer.
Christina saw nick and she didn’t know how to react, after what happened, she didn’t know what to say. Was she suppose to ignore him or jump and say she missed him.

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
Joe walked back an forth, the roar of the screaming girls didn’t enter his mind.
Kevin: He wont be late.
Joe: WE’RE ON IN FIVE MINUTES.
Kevin: We can stall.
Joe: For how long.
Nick came running in.
Denise: WHY DID YOU TAKE SO LONG!
Joe: We’re on now man, get your guitar.
Joe was angry and Nick and Kevin knew it.
Joe: lets go.
Nick: Chris…
Kevin: Come one Nick, we have a show.
They went on stage and played and at the end of the show went back to their rooms.
Nick and Joe were sharing while Kevin had his whole room.
Nick: The concert was good!
Joe: Yeah. I cant believe you left Nick.
Nick: I CAME BACK.
Joe: That’s not the point Nick, is she more important that this dream your living.
Nick: She’s important.
Joe: Nick, I KNOW she’s important, but is she important enough for you to leave in the middle of the tour and almost being late for your own show.
Nick: It’s not a big deal.
Joe: Yeah it is Nick, your suppose to take this seriously Nick.
Joe turned off the light lamp and went to bed.

The boys played around Canada and wrapped up the tour. The days went fast and Christina, Alex and Claire stayed home and Christina continued school. It was the end of June, school was almost over. Christina came home from school and threw herself onto the couch.
Claire: Hard day?
Christina: Mostly.
Alex: You know they come back tomorrow morning.
Christina: And im at school, you will meet them, I’ll be at the joyful school.
Alex: Have fun, I’m going to take a shower.
Alex went upstairs.
Claire: I’ll see you later.
Christina: Where are you going?
Claire: For a walk.
Christina: Oh did you see the moving trucks beside your house.
Claire: Yeah I wonder whoses moving in.
Christina: Yeah I know.
Claire: I’ll see you later.
Claire went outside and walked along the side walk, she was going to pick something up at her house. She saw the moving trucks and a little boy playing around. As she walked closer to her house she saw someone struggling to carry a box. She saw that they were struggling and the box was tipping. She ran over and helped lift it.
Claire: Need a little help.
????: Yeah thanks.
She helped him put it on the side. They let the box gently fall to the ground.
Nate: Hey, I’m Nate.
She threw his hand out.
Claire: Oh hi, im Claire.
She shaked his hand and let go.
Claire: Moving in?
He looked at her.
Claire: Oh god, stupid question.
Nate: Ah no problem, live by here.
Claire: Yeah next door.
????: Nate!
Nate: Oh my dads calling. Nice meeting you.
Claire: Yeah you too.
She turned around and walked to her house.

Kevin: We’re finally going back!
Joe: Yeah I know.
They boys were finally flying back. Joe and Kevin were excited but Nick was fast asleep.
They reached Christina house and rang the door bell. Kevin pulled out the key and opened the door.
Joe: Hello?

CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT
Brittney: Nick, before you do your show, can I ask you something?
Nick: Yeah. Shoot.
Brittney: Well… I’ve been thinking and…
The crowd started screaming and Nick didn’t hear what Brittney had said.
Nick went up to Brittney.
Nick: Let’s talk about this later.
He kissed her on the cheek and went on stage.
Claire: What’s for dinner?
Mom: Spaghetti. Your favorite.
Claire: Yum. Mom, can I ask you something?
Claire’s Mom put a plate of spaghetti in front of her.
Mom: Sure, what is it dear?
Claire: How do prove someone that you truly love them, but they are dating someone else, but you know they still have feelings for you?
Mom: What happened?
Claire: It’s between Christina and Nick. They’re in a tight knot.
Mom: Well, they should sit down with one another. Tell each other how they feel, and hope for the best.
Claire quickly finished her food and cleaned up.
Claire: Thanks Mom.
Claire went upstairs to her room.
Claire: I just need to send this to Nick first…
Joe: They sure had strong voices. The whole crowd was screaming the whole time.
Kevin: Tell me about it. My ears hurt badly.
Nick: You guys are dumb. Didn’t wear your ear plugs…
Kevin: Someone must’ve hid mine.
Joe: Mine too.
Kevin and Joe both looked at Nick.
Nick: What? I didn’t take them.
They stared at him with an evil look.
Nick pointed to a cabinet by the T.V.
Joe rolled his eyes.
Brittney called Nick to her room.
Nick: Hey.
Brittney: You know about the thing I was gonna say to you before the concert?
Nick: Yeah. What were you going to say?
Brittney: I was thinking and I kinda wanna go public.
Nick hesitated.
Nick: What?
Brittney: You know public. With our relationship.
Nick hesitated again.
Nick: No.
Brittney: Why not?
Nick: I can’t. It’s too hard.
Brittney: How is it too hard?
Nick stood up.
Nick: We can’t. I’m not like you. Paparazzi would follow us everywhere. Back in L.A, Claire and Joe couldn’t go out without someone taking a picture of their every move.
Brittney: So what? Do you want a peaceful life or do you want me?
Nick: I didn’t mean it like that…
Brittney: It seemed like.
Nick didn’t say anything.
Brittney: okay.
Brittney started to pack her stuff.
Nick went back to his room.
Nick sat on his bed and heard his phone vibrate. It was a voice message from Claire. He pressed play.
Claire: Do you still love him?
Christina: Of course I do. But then I can’t. That’s what’s holding me back.
Alex: Why don’t you tell him that?
Christina: He won’t believe me. After the way I’ve acted, i've caused so much damage.
Alex: Then prove it to him.
Christina: How can I? He’s gone and he’s dating Brittney.
Claire: When he comes back. Tell him how you truly feel.
Christina: I dont think i can.
Nick: She does…?
Nick quickly dialed Claire’s phone number.
Claire: Hello?
Nick: Claire. That recording wasn’t edited right?
Claire thought at the back of her mind that her plan was slowly working.
Claire: Nope. Why would it be? I’m not like Chelsea.
Nick: I’m gonna fly back tonight quickly. I want to see Christina.
Claire: Call me when you’re here. I’ll pick you up.
Nick: Joe! Kevin!
Kevin: Nick! What?
Nick explained to them what had happened.
Joe: Are you going to be back on time?
Nick: I’ll try. Im going to tell mom and dad, our concert tommorow is late night, im sure i'll make it.
Denise walked up.
Denise: Make what.
Nick explained everything.
Denise: This is your choice, but if you miss the concert.
Nick: I know.
He kissed his mom on the cheek and ran to grab his stuff.
Nick left for the airport, on the way he saw a jelewery store and went in quickly picked something up for Christina and flew back.
Claire: I told Christina to meet me at the lake. I think she was mad that it’s 2 in the morning.
Claire laughed.
Nick: Hurry Up
They drove to the lake within minutes.
Christina was sitting on the bench by the water. She was staring at it when she saw a shimmering object in the water. She bent down and picked it up. It was the necklace. She jumped when she heard a car.
She sat back down waiting for Claire.
Nick ran quietly as he could. He sat down quietly beside Christina.
Nick: Hi...
Christina: Nick? What are you doing here?
Nick: It’s the reason why I’m here.
Christina: What are you talking about?
Nick: We need to talk…
Christina: Nick you shouldnt be here you have a concert tomorrow.
Nick: Yeah I know i'll make it.
Christina: Nick I can wait.
Nick: No, i need to talk to you now.
Christina: Nick what is there left to say.
Nick: Everything. Everyones gotten between us and im sorry for acting the way i did, i promise you nothings like that will ever happen
Christina: Nick you've said that before, you were wrong.
Christina tried everything, to make him leave, she didnt want to say she loved him.
Nick: I know and i admit i was wrong, im sorry.
Christina: It's not your fault, its mine.
Nick got up.
Nick: Christina, i love you and i never want to lose you.
Christina: Nick, I..
Nick got down on his knee and opened his hand.
Nick: Will you marry me?
