I massacred the afternoon
To the sound of rain drumming against parked cars.
I drenched myself in desperate colors for you.
I was dripping for your sympathy.
I wear this weakness on my sleeve.
I'd like to put you on. I'd like to wear you out.
Solitary day. Forgive me for the blood you shed.
City of night-Hear my footsteps.
They echo through these empty streets.
I've been haunting this apartment at night.
Closed lips, abandoned ships,
straightened with paper clips.
And I get nauseous when the light isn't right.
I listen faithfully when they illuminate for me.
I wear your greatness on my spine.
I'd like to steal your words. I'd like to give you mine.
Solitary day. Forgive me for the war I waged.
City of night-Hear my heartbeat.
It echoes through these flooding streets.
We can save ourselves from sinking.
Being disorderly. Anything else comes and goes.

One day I asked him for a rose,
and with a pose, he answered me;
I tell no tricks and so, you see,
roses die.
So on I went to ask him why,
but with a cry, he answered me;
cause once you pass the novelty,
roses die.
I sat and wondered what he meant,
and with intent, he said to me;
look for hope in what you see,
but roses die.
One day I saw him down the road,
and with a node, he said to me;
look for hope, I've found the key,
roses yield.
The point is to find out that there is no point. The point is to find out that you paint your own picture. If you die you splatter paint on everyone else's picture and by doing so you make other people's paintings not turn out the way they wanted them to. Realize that what you do affects everyone paintings. See into other people's paintings, create a painting together. Change for yourself, not for anyone else. You will find success if you become respectful of yourself and of other people. Realize you don't need drugs in order to change and feel good for 6 hours. You need a good set of paint, a canvas, and a paintbrush.
