There are things I’ll never understand in life, and I’m starting to be fine with that. I’ll never understand for instance how a person can not love. I’ll never understand why people always pretend to be right, because they know. I’ll never understand why a person would ignore the chance to be a better person, when he has it.
I am a better person. I’ve always been a good person, but know I am a better one. Why? Because I never said to myself that I don’t need that chance. I’m not perfect, I’ve never been and I’ll never be. I can’t be. I’m human. The difference between me and a lot of people I met, is that we all are not perfect, but at least I don’t pretend to be.
If you do not find a defect, I’ll help to find it: I have a lot. But still, even if I have many defects, I’m a good person. I’ve always been. Why? Because my intention are good. I’ll never hurt intentionally, and I’ll always help where I can. You have only to give me the chance.
A lot of people said actually that all this is not true: they say I’m not a good person. I’m ready to agree. I’m a great person. Yes I am great. Why? Because good is not enough to me. The point of life is to become a better person. At least to try every second to be better than before. This is my life. And better than good is…great. So I am great.
I’m not trying to be arrogant or something of the sort. You could be better than me. I’m not perfect. I don’t even want to be perfect. You can be if you want. It’s always going to be fake, because like me, you are human. But if you want you can be perfect: I know so many fake persons.
No one is ready to take the responsibility of what’s done. It’s always something else. Why? Because everyone is too good to make mistakes. May be you want to be that good. But I should warn you: being too good makes you bad. If you have too much of something, you get to the point where you don’t have anymore that thing. You do not believe me? Let me prove it to you. Take love. If you love too much, your love turns to be something else. What? Hate, obsession…they are all things that come out from love. Hate and love are the same feeling actually. The difference is on his effect. Love pushes you toward the person/thing that is loved. On the other hand, hate pushes you away from the same object. But the feeling inside is the same. Obsession is something very close to love. You love something or someone so much, that they become somehow more that a dear thing to you.
With everything we’ve got to be careful. You want to be good? You can. Everyone can. You just need to put an effort. You want to be better? Work hard for this goal, and you will be. I am. If I am, you can be. Really. Just, take your chance. Don’t always say tomorrow when you can do something today.
