I'm writing this because if one person who reads this becomes intrigued and wants to learn more and does so, then I feel I have succeeded. Please excuse any poor grammar or spelling because i'm wriitng this at 1am.
I have a question to ask you all: Do you know what's going on in the world?
More importantly: Do you care?
You will find that if you answer "no" to the second question the first becomes void. For those who said no, this article is for you, and only you.
Now any extended answers will vary, anywhere from "It doesn't affect me" or "I live my life the way I want and screw the rest". It is comments and responses like this that needlessly help growing conflicts around the world thrive.

Very recently the Pakistani government have submitted to a Taliban request to allow the Taliban to impose their version of Islamic law, I believe called Sharia law, in the Swat valley(which has been in constant conflict since 2007 when the Taliban seized control of the area.) in exchange for a ceasefire. It has worked, but the Taliban have now started moving their followers into a nearby district called Buner, setting up checkpoints and other points of intrest. These include telling shop owners to stop selling music and movies.
This is serious sh*t people. The now Taliban ruled Swat valley is only hours from Islamabad, the captial of a
nuclear armed country. The current Pakistani government is not as strong as in the past and there is a very real chance that this could and might turn into a bigger deal then Afghanistan or Iraq, possibly combined. They supposedly don't have the capability to strike the continental United States and such, but the entire region could be wiped of the map in a matter of minutes. Worst case scenario.
This, combined with everything else in the region, cannot end well, and it won't. For
any of us. Those of you out there who listen to your music and make those "first" and "that was gay" comments are blissfully unaware of what is going on in the world. The more people that are unaware, the worse off we are. Because when the first nuke gets launched, that show you're going to next week or your friend's party on saturday night will be the least important thing in the world. World War III will be underway and you did absolutely nothing to stop it. Nothing. Because you and others like you do not care, the likely hood of this scenario grows and you, your family, your friends, your country, your planet will be the worse off. Right now there could be a realistic opportunity to stop all of this from happening, wether it be a vote being held by the government or something else, and you don't care about it. Shame on you. I am not asking you to donate your hard earned money. I'm not asking you to sign a petition.I AM probably indirectly asking you to vote. I'm not asking you to buy a shirt that says "I support world peace". I'm asking you to care for the cause of everyone.
Care, and the world will be better for it. And a better world is good for everyone, even you.
