Shadows From Within
The shadows creep up next to me like snakes in the sand.
Never knowing when or were I stand.
I fear the darkness and yet embraced it as it falls upon me.
To others I might seem strange, but to the darkness I am but a host.
I can smile and laugh, I can giggle and grin, but it will never come from deep within.
I can be bright, but every brightness has but a little taint.
I will fight to see the sunrise through the shadows.
But in the end I will recede to the dark depths of were it billows.
