Hey buddy I'm missing you down here. I was thinking about you the other day while i was sitting in my room brett, just about all of the memories that we shared. Like the last hockey season that we played together. I remember when we were playing that team from spruce grove in Bon Accord at about 11 in the morning and nobody wanted to play. lol Our team went out there and played like absolute crap I think that we were losing by four goals going into the third period and i just remember looking over at you and saying hey brett lets win this game. Then we went out there and scored three goals in about two minutes and then we tied the game up. And ill never forget the time where u went to take the puck away from the goalie and u stole it from him and then u passed it to me for the open net goal and we came back and won the game. lol After the game was over i just remember sittin there with you and after coach was done talking to us we looked at each other and we couldn't believe that we just won that game and we started laughing.Or how about the Grande Prairie tournament we went to and beat every team!! lol And i always use to make my girlfriend at the time walk me home through Muriel Martin field just so that i could talk to you when you got off your bus. She just couldn't believe that i wanted to walk that way to see you. lol There was another moment that we had at hockey our last year that always still makes me laugh. We had hockey practice in Bon Accord on Halloween night. So almost our whole team went trick or treating and coach caught us and yelled at us because we were supposed to be getting ready and three out of the the four captains went out and you were the only captain not to go out and i remember coach yelling at the the three assistant captains in the hallway and when we walked back in the room the first thing i saw was you just killing yourself in the corner because we all got into trouble. My best memory was when you, Lourney, and myself became the Top Gun line. lol I was Cougar, Lourney was Hollywood, and you as the leader were Maverick. Our line use to just dominate hockey games. We drove to the championship game in the Onoway tournament with your parents and we told your parents to throw in the Top GUN cd so that we could get pumped up! lol and then we brought it into the dressing room to listen to and i remember that everyone was just giving us the stupidest looks and all we did was laugh. lol Brett i miss you so much buddy you have no idea. These memories will always be with me. I can always tell when your with me, so thanks for looking over me buddy, miss you so much Maverick. And Brett, winning provincials was all for you i did everything i could to win that tournament for you, and we did it buddy! I know you were watching over me in every game and i love you so much bud! Over a year has gone by now and its still hard to believe that your not hear with me. Every hockey game i play is for you buddy. I give it all every shift just like we used to do it. Its just still hard that i am alone now. I hate skating out there without you. But you would want me to be happy and brett i just miss you and i love you so much ill never forget you brother!!
