I am friends with Bailey Lonechild. He was falsely accused of the murder of a guy he didnt know who died on the 6th of August 2005. Robyn Greyeyes' DNA is on the weapon as well, but because he was supposably the victims friend, he has not received any punishment whatsoever. Bailey was being jumped by 20 other gang members, and he also did not see a stabbing occur. It was his knife yes, but when your being jumped by 20 guys its inevitable that his knife ended up in someone elses hands. He was placed on house arrest for the last two years and he will be getting off of house arrest in less than 6 months. I am very pissed off with our government system, but at the same time, they did Bailey justice by placing him on house arrest. If they had had solid evidence against him, ofcourse he would be in jail for life. Id be mad if he wasn't if that was the case. Now this is just in response to this young mans letter below. I find that many people dont know what they are talking about. Especially when it comes to people falsely accused. He is still doing the time for this supposed crime, but he doesnt deserve people talking shit about him. Everyone in life makes mistakes, and you can't tell me that you personally have not. Bailey's crime was being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Nothing else. So read this young mans letter below and see if you agree. You may not agree either and thats ok. Everyone in this world has a right to their opinion. And has a right their beliefs. Thank you.
Bailey Lonechild, eighteen years of age, was charged
with the murder ofJustin Sproat, and on the 29th day of September, 2005
was released on bail.
This decision was based mainly on two premises, namely:
1) that Lonechild had no prior criminal record, and
2) that he was determined an unlikely threat to flee. Shockingly, the Court chose to overlook the fact that Lonechild intentionally and knowingly killed another
human being.
Lonechild did not know his victim, and, therefore, he is a threat
to the general public. Why should Lonechild get to celebrate Christmas
with his family, while the family and friends of his victim endure a horribly painful season of sadness without their loved one?
It is our position that murder is a very serious offence that should not be
governed by the same laws as other offences. If there is enough evidence to
charge someone with murder, then there is enough evidence to keep that
person in jail until judgment has been passed by a
court of law!
NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE!!!!
