Can I have free Plus?

We cannot give out free Plus, including on a trial basis. There is no point in asking, the answer is automatically "NO".

Several features would not work if everybody had them, such as the ability to browse profiles anonymously. Other features do not make sense to have for a short period of time, such as file uploads, longer profile sections, and creation of a user forum. The few features which would be possible to bundle as a trial package would require additional programming to make it happen, and it is simply not a priority at this time.

Interac

INTERAC online is currently supported by Royal Bank, Scotiabank, BMO, and TD Canada Trust.

To conduct online transactions you must to have online banking setup. If you have an interact card but do not have online banking transactions, please contact your local bank branch to set up and to activate your online banking account.

If you are having problems with debit payments:

  • The payment went through over 24 hours ago and plus hasn't been received.
  • Check your online statement. When the bank has communication problems they just deposit the money back into your account. If this is the case, please pay again.
  • If the money has not returned, please message NexopiaPlus with the details about the discrepancy.

If the program won't go past the INTERAC online button:

  • It is possible that there is a temporary glitch with the link.
  • If you have a pop up blocker it may stop the new window from opening.
  • Sometimes the problem is with your computer, certain types of links are blocked.
  • You could try it from a different location and see if your computer is the problem.

Prepaid Credit Cards

Prepaid Credit Cards may be used just like any other credit card to make purchases, but are pre-funded "stored-value" cards. This means that you load funds onto your card in advance. The stores that are selling these cards include Bell stores (in BC, Alberta and Ontario) and VanCity Bank (Vancouver area only). You pay a $2 purchase fee for the card and then you can load your funds (anywhere from $25 to $500) on to the card to make your purchases! To find out more, click here.

If you live in western Canada, you can purchase a Mytreat pre-paid VISA gift card which works at any merchant where VISA is accepted, including on Nexopia.com. You can get it at any Safeway store or Mac's Convenience store. For more information on Mytreat gift cards, click here.

Do NOT use the INTERAC online link to pay by credit card. It is an old link and we do not accept payments placed through that link (we are working on removing it.) The payments are reversed and you will be asked to re-do your transaction again through the correct method of payment/link.

Make sure you call ahead, because not all locations have stock and not all staff knows that you don't have to be 18.

Credit Card

Make sure to have authorization from the card holder. Using someone's credit card without their explicit permission it is considered fraud, just like stealing from a store.

You have to fill in all the billing information. Our provider verifies this information. If you use a prepaid credit card such as SoloMobile, you can type "SoloMobile" into your street address. Make sure to fill in the remaining information correctly.

Mail

If you wish to pay for Plus via standard lettermail, you may send your payment in one of three forms:

  • Cheque
GST must be included. Make it payable to Nexopia. Write "For Deposit Only" on the back, so the cheque cannot be cashed.
  • Money Order
GST must be included. Make it payable to Nexopia. Available at the bank, or post office.
  • Cash
GST is not required. DO NOT SEND COINS, we will pay the GST for you. (This offer applies to paper cash only!) Send cash at your own risk (see below.)

If you plan to send standard lettermail via Canada Post, it can take anywhere from 2 to 8 business days. Canada Post's service standards are not guaranteed, so it can take around 2 weeks or longer.

Make sure to print out the proper invoice* and send it with your payment (cheque, money order, or cash bills only please), in a good sealed envelope with proper postage and the right mailing address. You need the invoice so we can process your Plus when we get your letter. The invoice:

* includes your invoice #, username, userID, and amount ordered.

We do not recommend that coins be mailed in standard lettermail. Why? Canada Post states that coins are an unacceptable item to send and it is a security risk. When people say that their mail got lost (when money is involved) most of the time it is actually stolen right out of people's mail box. We don't have this problem because we have a locked Post Box. Inside theft (from post office staff) is extremely rare. Hiding the money helps this problem.

To prevent loss from Canada Post you have some choices:

  1. Send using express mail or similar;it is insured and traceble, but is more expensive.
  2. Send a cheque; mark it "For Deposit Only" on the back of the check so no one can cash it.
  3. Send a Money Order. If it has not arrived within 6 weeks you can put in a claim.
  4. Send bills only. Wrap the bills in your invoice.

WE HAVE A NEW MAILING ADDRESS:
