The Great Debate: Creation VS Evolution.


Basics:
Creation: God created humanity in his image.
Evolution: Immense amounts of time as well as the basic pre-requisites for life allowed single-cellular organisms to progressively become more complex organisms.

Pros:
Creation: A life after death, a chance for eternal paradise, higher levels of spiritual accomplishment, many different facets of religious expression.
Evolution: Humanity may further grow, and expend their intellectual capabilities.

Cons:
Creation: Potential Damnation, subliminal servitude, blind faith, difficult to provide non-spiritual evidence, strong belief that all that do not obey particular religious beliefs are blasphemers.
Evolution: Lack of alternative ideology, belief that nature, in general, is the absolute governing power, belief that all who do not believe are stupid, simplistic, uneducated, or blinded.
Both: CLOSED MINDEDNESS!

Flaws:
Creation: If man-kind was made in God's image, then why the hell does the human genome still contain the genetics necessary to create gills, fins, fur, tails, and so on?
Evolution: If all things originated from space-dust particles which built into asteroids, which in turn grouped and compressed to become planets... Then where the hell did the space dust and the space itself even originate?

Conclussion:
Both theories of existence come with unanswerable questions. The scientific and the religious community seek to guide people to the answers to these questions, though more than likely humanity will never truly understand total complexities of how or why we exist. HOWEVER, rather than being foolish, closed minded, and immature, and simply claiming that you side is right, why not be a little open? Who knows, maybe the space dust and space appeared because of a greater power, such as a God, and evolution took it from there?

It's humanity's job to continually search for potential solutions to the great questions. "Why are we here", and "How did we get here?"

Closing ourselves off from other solutions is a sin against our very existence.
