So I was up late, after some drunkin' arguments, and I came up with some ethical rules for keeping the peace in relationships.

- Your boyfriend/girlfriend (mate) should not become friends with your friends or their mates. Casual acquaintance is acceptable. This solves many issues that would otherwise potentially be a problem. For instance (hypothetical), my girlfriend decides she wants to become friends with one of my friends, I accept/allow/don't prevent this from happening. Time goes on, they become great friends. Me and girlfriend break up, MESSY break up, "I-Can't-see-you" BREAk up. Now my friend has to choose whether they want to stay friends with me, or my now ex girlfriend, because they can't have both. IN addition, (minor but still a pain) my friend now potentially knows things about me I would prefer them not knowing, and I potentially know things about THEM I shouldn't know (but girlfriend was obligated to
