Sometimes this house feels like a prison
that I just can't leave behind
there's so many rules I got to follow
'cuz you can't let go
I don't wanna hear it
And I just can't believe it
All the stupid things you say but
One day I won't take this anymore
One day I'll be old enough to do what I want to
I won't have to run away
And you won't be there to say I'm not allowed to
One day
Sometimes I wonder if you know me
Or if you just pretend to care
Tell me are you on a mission to bring me down?
Go away
Don't look at me
'cuz we're not the same
And you can't do nothing
You can say
That it's not ok
But I'm not afraid
And you can't do nothing
nanana...One day.
Another day is going by
I'm thinking about you all the time
But you're out there
And I'm here waiting
And I wrote this letter in my head
'Cuz so many things were left unsaid
but now you're gone
And I can't think straight
This could be the one last chance
To make you understand
I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
Somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
'Cuz I know I won't forget you
Together we broke all the rules
Dreaming of droping out of school
And leave this place
to never come back
So now maybe after all these years
If you miss me have no fear
I'll be here
I'll be waiting
This could be the one last chance to make you understand
And I just can't let you leave me once again
I close my eyes
And all I see is you
I close my eyes
I try to sleep I can't forget you
nanana (...)
And I'd do anything for you
I'd do anything
To fall asleep with you
I'd do anything
There's nothing I won't do
I'd do anything
To fall asleep with you
I'd do anything
'Cuz I know I won't forget you
Hey dad look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to plan?
Do you think i'm wasting my time
Doing things I wanna do?
'Cuz it hurts when you disapprove all along
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that I'm all right
and you can't change me
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing last for ever
I'm sorry I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and we can't go back
I'm sorry I can't be perfect
I try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spent with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymore
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright
Nothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard just to talk to you
'Cuz you don't understand
I heard you're doing ok
But I want you to know
I'm a dick
I'm addicted to you
I can't pretend I don't care
When you don't think about me
Do you think I deserve this?
I tried to make you happy but you left anyway
I'm trying to forget that
I'm addicted to you
But I want it and I need it
I'm addicted to you
Now it's over
can't forget what you said
and I never wanna do this again
Heartbreaker
Since the day I met you
And after all we've been through
I'm still a dick
I'm addicted to you
I think you know that it's true
I'd run a thousand miles to get you
Do you think I deserve this?
I tried to make you happy
I did all that I could
Just to keep you
But you left anyway
How long will I be waiting?
Until the end of times
I don't know why I'm still waiting
I can't make you mine
Heartbreaker
I'm addicted to you
I got your letter and the poetry that you sent to me. Postmarked in December of last year. I really hope you're doing better. all of your friends close by your side. One step closer to recovery.
I wish there was something I could say to erase each and every page that you've been thourgh even though it's not my place to save you. I appreciate but can't accept this thank-you note that's sealed with your last breath. I won't stand aside and listen to you give up.
If you just hold on for one more second. Just hold on to what you have. If you'll just hold on, just hold on. You will wake up tomorrow.
These arms remain stretched out to you. Maybe someday you'll accept them or maybe it's too late to save a young girl's heart that's long stopped beating.
Wake up, wake up you've gotta believe. Wake up, wake up you can't give up. Time keeps going on without us long after we're dead and gone.
We're back from a most excellent Electronic Entertainment Expo with lots of details about some of the hottest upcoming games--plus first looks at some very promising, newly announced games. Let me walk you through some of our choice favorites, consciously excluding the stuff I figure you're probably sick of hearing about.

Splinter Cell 3
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3 was definitely one of the most impressive games at the show last week. Operative Sam Fisher's next assignment will be his most brutal job yet, and we got to see him taking out his foes using some decidedly less sanitary tactics than in the previous Splinter Cells. Amazingly, Splinter Cell 3 is due out this year, even though the second Splinter Cell game (which, incidentally, is superb) shipped just a matter of weeks ago. Be sure to read our impressions and watch our gameplay movies of this one if you haven't already.

F.E.A.R.
Sequels dominated this year's E3, so it was great to see an original, new first-person shooter on the horizon in the form of F.E.A.R., from the action storytelling masterminds over at Monolith. F.E.A.R. looks like it'll have a much more serious and tension-filled tone to it than Monolith's No One Lives Forever series, but between its horror-thriller-themed premise and impressive, new 3D engine, it looks like it'll be well worth keeping an eye out for.

The Sims 2
Finally, it might seem like an obvious choice, but The Sims 2 also really impressed us at the show. We all sometimes frown at the overabundance of sequels out there since sequels are inherently lacking in some originality--but The Sims 2 seems to be taking a lot of surprisingly bold risks, rather than just doing the same thing as its incredibly successful predecessor. We're genuinely excited at how it's shaping up, so be sure not to miss our latest impressions and videos of the game in action.
That's just three games (which I chose to mention here after a quick powwow with my colleagues) out of hundreds of upcoming PC games shown off at E3. Check out our comprehensive index of E3 show coverage here for all the latest, and see you next week!
