ABOUT ME

I'm Ty, and if you know me, then you know i have a passion for my 2 wheeled friends(yea ive got 3 of em. dont ask). I work at COP, working on the Mountain Bike trails during the summer, and for winter i am making snow and working on the park along with doing other general operations stuff. I have a need for speed, so i like to push my bikes to the limits all across canada in the Canada Cup DH circuit, and i also have a love of getting air. I BMX and mountainbike, and i love em both, among other people and things. Live each day like its your last because you never know what is going to happen tommorrow.

Jessi is still the shit.

love you meagan, Now more than ever

RIDING BIKES

It's my LIFE, dont take me away from it. You don't need to be the best to have fun, as long as you are on 2 wheels and the adrenaline takes over your body, you are a fellow rider in my eyes. Riding 50 foot doubles, boosting the bowls in the local park, or ripping down the local trails, its all the same. Dirt and concrete, its there for us to ride. Don't take it for granted because next thing you know it could be gone, and you are left with a pile of nothingness. Ride hard, or die trying, but just make sure you enjoy every last second of it, because that is what truely matters.

I can honestly say I enjoy building and working on trails as much, if not more than I enjoy riding them. Any trail builders out there gimme a shout and we should go for a dig sesh. Always on the look to find more builders.

Turns out, I now officially have 3 bikes chillin with me. Hopefully another 2 on their way come spring.
2006 Santa Cruz V-10 (beautiful race rig)
2005 Brodie Heathen (fooling around/racing ht haha)
2006 DK 8 pack (BMSEX) - with a red Odyssey thermal 41.

If I had it my way, I'd be living on top of a mountain so when I wake up, I could rip a trail first thing in the morning on my way to the rest of the day.

A sweet quote i found on the net.

"When I was about 4 years old I got my first bike.
That seems both like yesterday and a million years
ago. The first time I rolled to the end of my
driveway, I doubt I realized how much further my
bike would take me.

That was almost 23 years ago.

Since then, my bike has taken me to the middle
of the woods, cities far and wide, prestigious
universities, the Eiffel Tower, the convenience
store, and even jail.

How amazing is this vehicle we call a bicycle? How
far can it take you. And how far are you willing
to go? None of that really matters though as long
as you enjoy the time you spend getting there."

-Steve Crandall

Think about that for a second. How true is it?

Figured id give a little update,

Weekend went great. Brought back some good memories of last years races. It was wet, but not to wet. Cold but not to cold, and fun... very damn fun. It wasnt quite as wet as last year, thank god, but just enough to stir it up and make the course a little bit more difficult, and a shitload scarier. Dried up a little by race day, so it ended up being a pretty good race for myself. I ended up in 8th place in Junior expert, so I am personally really stoked on that. Its a really good result for me. My goal was top 10, and i got it.

Some of my buddies had a rough weekend though. 2 had really bad races, one, not allowed to race period. Apparantly theres this rule that Ive never heard of before that you need full coverage over your legs. Well, nobody really knew of this rule, but they decided to enforce it here. So he was forced to walk away with a DNS (did not start) after a weekend of training, and a 4 hour flight to quebec. Obviously, none of us were very happy f
