Formed in 1967 (!) Budgie hail all the way from Wales, playing old school Heavy Metal in the vein of their neighbours Black Sabbath, but their own unique way of course.

Released in 1971, Budgies S/T is a monument to all that is truly Heavy Fucking Metal. This is so early it's still rocking the fuck out, but you can hear the Metal come through quite a bit along with a whole bunch of other styles. This is a true fusion of just real, good Music, just like Sabbath. This is probably because of who produced the album, Rodger Bain, who also produced Sabbaths first three albums and i think a Priest album, cool fact for ya there.

Not widely known, but they are loved and respected by those who do. Metallica has done 2 (bad) covers of theirs-'Breadfan' and 'Crash Course In Brain Surgery' while Soundgarden has done a cover of 'Homicidal Suicidal', 2 popular bands i wouldn't expect to acknowledge and appreciate this band. They also have played behind the Iron Curtain back in the day in Poland, pretty cool.

No one i've talked to knew about this band, so i felt it my duty to post this shit up. Everybody should be able to enjoy this, you don't know music if you can't, it doesn't really get any better. Enjoy:

This album has been re-kicking my fucking ass lately, this song in particular. I enjoy everything about it, the vocals & lyrics, the guitars & riffs, the drums & rhythms EVERYTHING. I enjoy it so much i fixed the shitty version of lyrics found on MA, so i hope someone else can appreciate this as much as i do.

So i realized yesterday that i'm in love with Jame Murphy, yep. I mean Cause of Death, Spiritual Healing, Death Shall Rise, Dreams of a Carrion Kind-all great albums and in the case of both Obituary and Death, my favorite album by them.

Yet another Death Metal band that has lost their touch over the years, oh well Retribution and Ten Commandments fucking rip.
