Terry Fox

Terry lived in vancover British Columbia. He is my favorite hero. Because he was not a quitter.

When he wanted to do something he did it. He did not let anyone stop him. Him not even cancer. He

was 18years old when he was diagnosed with done cancer. The cancer was in his right knee. When they

found out it wasnt long after that he had his leg cut off just above the knee. But he did not let that stop

him. Then after that he wanted to played baskeball for the vancover cablecars. The cablecars are a

basketball team but they are in wheelchair. He went to his best friend Doug Alward and told him that

his was going to run across canada. Doug did not believe him but he knows that when Terry said that

he was going to do something he did it. So Doug went with him. Doug drove behind Terry. Terry

never told his mom, dad, sister and brother. Terry started him run in new foundland. He called his run

the marathon of hope. Well terry was doing his run he had hi birthday party. But it all went down form

there. Terry never got to finish him run. He stopped near thunder bay ontario he was getting sharp pains

in his chest. When he want to the hospital he was diagnossed with lung cancer. It has come back to him

again but this time it got the better of him. He passed away on june 28,1981 he just tunred 23. i had to

do Terry because we just found out that my mom has cancer in both of her hips and in her spine. That

is why i did Terry Fox.
