Ashten Charise Calliou, born August 2, 1991 in Beaverlodge, AB. Ashton had many diverse interests that she passionately pursued. Her favorite sport, Hockey, had opened the door to National travel, friendships, excitement and competition. Ashten was larger than life when she entered a room or stepped out on the ice. She loved animals, camping and fishing. She excelled at basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and in-line. Ashten knew the game well and would often referee or coach. She loved living, laughing and learning. Ashten grew up in Goodfare and had spent a few of her recent years in Prince George, BC. Ashten was dearly loved and treasured by her dad Charles, mom Jody, big brother Evan, little brother Lindon, brother Jared, sisters Bronwyn, Ashley and Chantelle. Her Aunty Ginger Langan, cousins Kieron & Tristan, Leona Calliou & family, Claire & Judy Gauthier & family, Gloria & Ray Irwin & family, Robert & Faye Calliou & family, Rodney & Ellen Calliou & family, Norman Calliou & family, Terry & Jill Calliou & family; Grandmother Sheryl Langan and Doug Handspiker, Grandparents Charlie & Elsie Calliou, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Ashten was predeceased by her Grandfather Jerry Langan. Memorial Services for Ashten will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hythe Legion.
