mexico trip part 1
day one - drive to vancouver
Nothing interesting happened on this day. Yup, nothing at all. Oh well, we took Petey (our dog) to the kennel and Ginger (our cat) to the kitty hotel and Ginger was nervous, he made some pretty weird meows.

day two - fly to L.A. and board ship
So we got to YVR and mom realised she forgot the passports, but dad was able to get us on the plane anyway. On the flight we met James and his two daughters, Chelsea (19) and Sydney (16), they're from West Vancouver and we found out we were going on the same cruise. They're awesome, we had lots of fun with them over the trip. Anyway, we got to the LA port and after more trouble we were still able to board the ship without passports. Yay, we're on board! That night me, dad, James, Chelsea and Syndey celebrated by dancing it up in the Carousel night club.

day three - full day at sea
Dad and I explored the ship today and discovered an awesome pub right below our room called The Red Lion. It's all british styled. Very cool. We then went out and chilled on the pool deck and went swimming. I hung out with Steph (my sis) and Sydney for a bit, then went to have a nap because I was tired from 2 days of travel and a night of party, but couldn't get any sleep so I went out and found Chelsea and we.. ahh I can't remember. Anyway, the day was fun and relaxing. Some people saw whales, but the only ones I saw were on board.

day four - second full day at sea
More relaxing and meeting cool people. We went to some awesome restauraunts and hung out at The Red Lion some more. Aan, one of the two awesome servers at the Red Lion, got me addicted to Stella Artois by telling me I should buy a pint. He gave us free fish and chips too. Mmm Stella is so yummy. Aan is from Indonesia, by the way, and the other server, I can't remember her name, but she was from Romania. Everyone on the ship was from cool places around the world. I think I only saw three americans and maybe four Canadians working on the boat. They all had a flag and the name of the country they are from on their name tag so you could tell.

XO

Elliott Smith's XO
I have a hard time listening to modern music by artists bleeding their hearts out, maybe because most of them are sniveling emo-suburbanites with nothing really to complain about. Elliott Smith is different. Or was different. He never really complained, nor was a wuss. He told us how he felt without seeming like a spoiled brat. He understood that no sane person wants to listen to someone whine for 4 minutes over and over again. So he took things that were plaguing him and crafted them into songs through his brilliant writing and charming/haunting melodies.

XO is his shining accomplishment. Every song is beautiful in its own way. It actually took me quite a while to start to like Elliott, but this is now one of my favourite albums. Possibly my all time favourite album! So I hope you guys give it a good chance, and if you don't like it now you should come back to it later, maybe it will mean something different to you then. It did to me.

I'm sure everyone has felt like this before. Silly people can be so mean. The pics pretty funny too. Yay for Deviant Art.

scary stuff

So since I went to the Meat Loaf concert I've been in the mood to listen to music with scary or gothic imagery, and I've been looking on Deviant Art for some cool pics to match that mood when I found this and thought it was very interesting.

three guilty pleasures

The only thing that is sort of screamo-ish that I can enjoy. It would be amazing if they had no screaming because the guitar riffs are bloody awesome and their actual vocal melodies are incredible. Great album.

Oh my, It's another A7X album! This one is even better though, there is no annoying screaming, but all the greatness! One of my favourite albums ever, it's in my top 20 for sure.

Loved it when it first came out, came to hate it when it was so over played, but now that I haven't listened to it for a while I have to admit I quite enjoy it. Oh, I'm ashamed that I enjoy this pop punk album, but oh well, Jesus Of Suburbia is neato! :p

my new jeep
here are some pics of my
1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I got her for a very good deal. Everything runs perfect, it's as if she was brand new. She has a 5.2L Chevy Magnum V8 under the hood, yeah she's a thirsty bitch haha, but I love her. I can't wait to get her dirty hehe.

Dances With Wolves

I just watched this for the first time the other day and fell in love with it. It's amazingness. Probably too long and slow paced for many people though.

apparently...
Apparently I am a "sexer", at least according to drunk Nicole. And I have no clue what a sexer is, but it sounds awesome enough

hemingway; a reincarnation?
If reincarnation was real, if I had lived a life before this one, I would have been Ernest Hemingway. A man who sought adventure, romance and expression. A tortured soul who, in my eyes, lived a full life.
