As I walk onto the stage
My body fills with
emotion[/b]
That supersedes all other emotions of my 16 year old
life
I realize the stage is
bare, and my nerves start to run
wild
With anticipating thoughts of what is on the verge of happening to me in the next two and a half minutes
Will they like me
? …Or will they hate me
? …Am I good enough
?
Are all the countless hours of
sweat and
love[/b] for this art going to get me through this
?
I tell myself to stop thinking about that and to just …
Enjoy where I am,
Enjoy Who I am, and
enjoy what I love to do
The stage starts to connect with my body
And all the nervous little butterfly’s begin to flow…
away[/u]
And the
passion emerges from my
heart, to my
soul, to my
body
The excitement explodes out my skin to just be able to experience this moment
This amazing moment of
joy, nerves, passion, concentration, love, fear, excitement, wonder, happiness…
So much
happiness[/u] to just be doing what I
love
To be experiencing just
this,
This moment to be embracing the feeling of the floor
To feeling the heat rise from the bright
white lights
pouring down on me
To see the slight
sway[/b] of the curtains, to feel the texture beneath my feet
All the while trying to captivate
you[/b], and
you[/b], and
you[/b], and
you[/b].
Into this piece of art that I call my
perfect moment
But are you really watching me
?… Have you seen every move
?
Have you felt the contractions, the elongations, the fingers, the head, the body, the soul
?
Are you listening to my thoughts
?
Are you listening to what I really have to say about my
perfect moment?[/b]
Do you really see me
? Do you see my message, through my eyes, and in my soul
?
Do you see how much I
love this
? …How much I
want this
?
This is where I am
happy, this is where I
truly belong
My body feels like it is floating now, floating in pure
happiness[/i]
The stage is gone, the curtains are gone, the lights are dim
And all that’s left is me, just me with this one last moment of
passion[/u],
This moment of
pure ultimate joy, this moment I’ll
never forget
And as this moment is coming to an end, I can start to feel the stage underneath me again
I can see all of your
silhouettes[/b] staring at me in silence
And with only a few more seconds left of this
amazing experience, I want to
thank you[/u]
For being a part, of my
perfect moment.[/center]
