He laces up those skates, puts on those gloves, straps on his helmet
and walks on to that ice and right then nothing else matters...
He thinks of those face-offs, goals, assists, overtime, cold rinks,
early morning and everything else to accomplsih hockey...
And then theres the audience thats asks why?
Why would we put everything behind us for this sport?
But its the late night, early mornings, saturday evenings,
broken bones and deep brusies thats keep me on that ice..
Its just that as soon as you step on that ice you feel invincible..
And just because no matter what its possible to skate fast enough
to leave all your worries behind and think of why this is important...
