first of all marijuana should be legal
i'll start by saying marijuana has been given a bad rap through out the last 100 or so years
before then it was embraced for religious, medicinal, industrial and recreational use
most cultures at one point in time embraced marijuana
second marijuana's harms have been greatly and i mean greatly exaggerated to the point of idiocricy, marijuana has never cause no it ever will cause you to get cancer majority of people that have cancer and smoke pot also smoke cigarettes, drink, have cancer run in their family or have a lifestyle prone to cancer
also marijuana has never casued a death yet on average 500 people die a year from asprin which is found in almost every household
marijuana does not kill your braincells, it produces new neurons in the hippocampus dentate gyrus, a region of the brain that plays a role in developing memories.
Marijuana Is not a gateway drug, roughly 15 million Adults in the U.S smoke pot on a regular basis yet only 5 million of pot smokers people in the U.S have ever done a chemical or harder drug then marijuana that means roughly 2/3 thirds of marijuana smokers have not used any other illegal substance
also 95 million Adults in the U.S have smoked pot once in their life meaning that 90 million of them haven't gone to harder drugs thus proving marijuana is NOT a gateway drug
marijuana is less dangerous then marjority of pharmaceutical drugs out their yet it still has most of the same effects meaning it could be used in medicine helping cut back on spending to research and produce theese other drugs
