With the 24th annual Edmonton International Film Festival coming this fall, we're hell-bent on being your friend! If you've never experienced the EIFF, this year is your chance. Beginning September 24, 2010 and lasting for nine days and nights, this festival is always a blast, and promises to be again this year!

If you love movies, the arts, and supporting local businesses, come out and show your support! YOU can help make Edmonton's International Film Festival a world-class festival, able to boast more big stars and more big movies with each coming year.

Last year (2009) we were privileged to host David Lee Miller's amazing movie, "My Suicide" for its Canadian Premiere, with STARS of the movie, Gabriel Sunday and Brooke Nevin in attendance! And you missed it! Another of our favorites was the amazing, hilarious documentary "Winnebago Man," about the most foul-mouthed RV salesman of all time! Our friends 'The Tossers' (April Mullen and Tim Doiron - winners of 2007 Audience Award for "Rock Paper Scissors: Way of the Tosser") returned to E-Town with a very special World Premiere 'Sneak Peek' of their new comedy "GravyTrain". Some other highlights of '09 included the filthy and hilarious "Midgets Vs. Mascots" and "Best Worst Movie", a movie about the "worst" movie ever made - "Troll 2"!!

There is always something for everyone, including animations, horror flicks, romantic comedies, and some really interesting foreign films (with English subtitles of course).

Oh! And there is also a film making contest every year! It's called 24/one, and you and your crack team of artsy friends can join in on the fun. You get a subject, and 24 hours to write, direct, and shoot your very own short film, followed by a world premiere and tons of prizes for best film!

So this September, when you're bored and looking for something new, check out downtown Edmonton and the Edmonton International Film Festival! You won't be disappointed.
