SQL Error!
"Nexopia HQ"
Every time you send a message, you get a blank screen with the exception of a tiny piece of text at the top-- "SQL Error"

After mashing your keyboard for a few seconds you decide to message those jerks at Nexopia and give them a piece of your mind. At Nexopia HQ we love to hear from our users. So today, we're going to have customer corner and share some of your letters to us!

"wtf, seriously. wtf."
- John

"WHAT IS SQL!?!? YOU INSTALLED A VIRUS ON MY COMPUTER DICKS! HONESTLY I'M GONNA LAY A BEAT DOWN ON YOU IF I EVERY SEE YOU IN PUBLIC"
- Anonymous (actually he signed the letter "eat shit and die" but I don't think that's his name.

"Squid Queen Liars error. Fix your damn website"
- Fasil

"nothing is sendign! i have really importatn messages to check guys, fix this now"
- Robert

The good news is that we are working on getting this fixed up right now. It's a tricky issue and it may take some time, but your messages are still getting through and don't worry, it's not a virus. Message/email us your best "FIX IT NOW" message and we might just drop a little Plus your way. In the meantime, we'll keep working on getting everything back to normal.

Luckily, the virus is of no concern to me, since I have more security on my computer then the average nuclear missile silo. Having said that, if you dont fix the fucking virus, I will hunt you down and do things to you that will make "The Human Centepede" look like "Hello Kitty".

Much Love nex <3 <3

Calm'er down holmes. One word. If you're really that upset over a single word, I would suggest leaving the basement, putting on a warm coat, and going outside for once in your life.

06:29pm | Jan 18, '12
I'm not upset--not at all-- I just thought the caps-locks added to the comedic value, considering I've witnessed you being informed of the difference countless times and years later you're still not getting it.

By the way, it's not "one word" -- it's two words.
HollyWoodWhore* - 18, Female, Slaughter
08:03pm | Jan 18, '12
It's just because people who read words properly and know the difference instantly read the sentence wrong. There's a reason why there's a "then" and "than", they have very different meanings. Your sentence makes absolutely no sense because of the incorrect use.

The lack of understanding of the difference between the two words is a strong indicator of at the least a lack of education, (though you probably know of the difference, thus...) the lack of understanding the importance of using the correct heterograph is a strong indicator of a lack of intelligence, (though you might somewhat understand the importance, thus...) the lack of diligence in the correct use of your word is a strong indicator of a lack of self interest, respect, and/or the worthiness of the put forth ideas. Why would I be encouraged to give any serious thought to what you're saying if you don't even care enough for someone not to wonder if you're an uneducated idiot aloof?

My first reply might have been troll-like but this is an earnest attempt to have you change your mind for your own self interest. Though if you might be an uneducated idiot aloof or not either way if I'm just wasting my time and my posts are wrong, wouldn't what you want of me is to admit to my mistake, my resolve to not to keep making the mistake, acknowledge your help in informing me of it, and holding no grudge for that mistake or your involvement, move on?

Well if that's what you want of me, why is that too much to ask of you?

Human beings are supposed to be smart, we're not supposed to keep making the same mistakes. We went to the moon, remember.

I bow to yo.......... ah fuck it. If you really care that much, go write a fucking book. Take you'r own advice and do something productive with your life. And btw, you seem kinda niave, so I'll give you a pro-tip: most fucking people in this world ain't all that fucking smart. To expect everyone to have an Ivy-Leauge mastery of their domain is a bit arrogant and stupid

So in simple terms: Shove it and fuck off

Hahaha! Gotta love having a kickass security system so I didn't get a virus (:
But yea, you may wanna get on that "fixing the virus" shizniz, so people can
stop complaining and/or before Nexopia loses users, or something.
Also, I do have to say "eat sit and die" kinda made my day, who knew someone(or people) took nex so seriously.

Lol, All messages still get sent after you press send, If it is a virus its weak and pathetic, otherwise I believe there is a problem with the source preventing it from returning to the previous page before you went into the message, (or back to the Inbox Screen). Whatever it is just ignore it, It'll be fixed in time, its nothing to fret over.

I find it funny that people still bring up "I didn't get a virus!" "Fix the virus Nexopia!" etc.
Take your head out of your ass long enough to read what's been said
Instead of just skimming the words and piecing together the parts you like.
"Oh what's that? Justin Bieber has a new CD? I'd love to download it but sadly, I have a virus."
Unfortunately, the vast majority of the users on the internet have a virus, it's called "retardation."

If you are looking for attention, I can tell you I don't have the time.

But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career.

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

If you fix nexiopia now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you.

But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Wait seriously? fixing a small problem with some code is a "tricky issue" with you people? that is very sad. I think with the extra revenue from Plus and the ads you should hire people that know how to script something since you seem to have lobotomized monkeys punching keys on the keyboard.
RedSnapper; - 19, Male, Edmonton
04:27am | Jan 18, '12
You know, that's pretty accurate. As if poring over thousands of lines of code that worked weeks ago and trying to find the bit that has caused a small error in returning to the page you came from wasn't easy enough, they get to do it in SQL, one of the simplest programming languages to master as long as you know calculus.

They also get to reply to messages sent by mouth-breathers who can't fathom that running a complex server farm, maintaining a clean looking GUI for three different constantly updating internet browsers, and carrying out day-to-day code/hardware maintenance so that said mouth-breathers don't break into tears when their favourite website is somewhat slower than normal could possibly be a time consuming job, especially when coupled with fixing some bewildering error and working out of a smallish office in downtown Edmonton during the fucking ice age.
Andulvar - 29, Male, Edmonton
04:54am | Jan 18, '12
I am actually taking Web Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design, and Web Diagnostics, chances are there is some conflicting code with that they cannot find, granted as lobotomized monkeys they are probably flinging feces at each other at their "downtown office"

Timeline of events:

  1. The problem is first reported on the 28th in the bug reporting forum and verified the same day by multiple people.
  2. Main "Admins" are allegedly first informed 4 days later on January 1st according to an apparent "forum admin" "kees" who posts "I'll contact an admin. It appears they're not aware of this thread yet." at 5:00AM.
  3. That same "forum admin" "Kees" verifies that "the admins" know of the issue 20 hours later at 1:40 AM by stating "Admins are aware of this issue. The root cause it not known yet, but it does have their attention."
  4. Over the coming days numerous people make requests for an update or verification from anyone who may be actually working on the issue. On January 8th, seven days since the last update, the same "forum admin" "Kees" replies to one request if there are any updates with "what the fuck unfortunately" at 10PM.
  5. In a potential contradiction, a different staff member, allegedly a "forum moderator" volunteer staff member "CJBarone" posts at 1 AM on January 9th "I'm not an admin, but I'm friends with the admin'. I asked on an update, and they have developers working on it as of today."
  6. Requests for verification directly from those working on the problem or an update continue, the next day on January 10th supposed "forum admin" "Kees" apparently misunderstanding the users issue posts "It's just not that useful to keep all users"
  7. Someone attempts to clarify the issue and gives an example of what the users might be looking for from someone employed by Nexopia.
  8. "Kees" replies with a word for word copy of the example post. CJBarone quotes it.
  9. "Forum admins" such as "MichaelR" go on the defensive and delete posts critical of "forum admin" behavior (or lack thereof) citing that it is "off topic"
  10. On January 15th early in the morning a user joins the discussion for the first time and makes an articulate post constructively critical of the "forum admins" for failing to do their job and act professionally, for failing to treat the customers of the site with respect, and for apparently misunderstanding why the users are upset - which is of course not (just) the time it's taken for this issue to be fixed, but (instead) the type of response and lack of official response. The user asks for at least acknowledgement of these "concerns".
  11. The same day, at approx 7:30 AM January 15th the above post along with some others are apparently deleted by the "forum admin" "kees" who posts "Deleted all the pointless posts again. " The above mentioned user is also "banned" from the forum for one day by "kees" citing the reason "You have made your point over and over again. Now go annoy someone else.'."
  12. Seven hours later the same day at 1:39pm January 15th--17 days after the problem is first widely reported--an article is posted and appears at the bottom of the front page after sign in. It is posted by "Fox-Pilot" and is the first time he publicly comments or acknowledges the issue.

In that article he gives alleged examples of messages he's received, all of which apparently imply users of Nexopia can barely construct a sentence. He also reports sarcastically that the staff "loves hearing from users" and that even 17 days later, "the tricky issue may still take some time." He makes no mention of the lack of acknowledgement or the inconvenience the issue may have caused the users, nor offers any sympathies or apology. Aside from providing the users with anything short of "don't worry, it's not a virus" his article continues the self serving attitude of the "Forum Admin" Kings who appear interested only in what their Jester users may provide in entertainment by requesting for their best "fix it NOW" message.

Dearest Mrlubex,

Please accept my most humble apologies for the following massive oversights:

1. I have not communicated effectively in a public manner that you would deem acceptable.
2. Posting comedic relief in the form of sarcastic anecdotes. I should be tortured with thousands of small cuts for even thin--- oh shit, I'm doing it again.

Relax. Count to 10. Nexopia is going to be OK, and I'm going to continue being a smartass. It isn't easy building/maintaining/fixing this site, but if you disagree, send me the link to yours!

You guys, you realize any coding, no matter how simplistic it is to learn and understand, is a fucking bitch to fix. The complexity of creating a website through any coding is massive, especially with so much going on. The staff isn't stupid, finding the error or conflicting code is basically like finding a needle in a haystack...

It takes time, deal with it. It's not even that big of a problem, your messages still get sent. Stop being little bitches.

how about you give all your users a free month of plus.

i think this is just a brilliant marketing scheme. everyone would want to renew their plus after a month.

this is a conspiracy! you did this! you made it all fucked up, but you still allowed us to send messages! sorta.

it's like 9/11 all over again, just on the internet...

but you guys do realize if you gave everyone plus free for a month you'd make a fucking fortune the next three at least?

Nexopia is a bunch of fucking weirdos. Anytime anyone says anything it's either lets agree with this person, or lets have no life and completely bash on them for the simplest of things. It's a website. Who the fuck cares, the messages still send when it says that, it's not a virus, I'm a computer programmer I would know. I also would like to say, who the fuck cares about plus, the only thing anyone wants it for is to see "oh my, lets see what creep creeped me today, and lets check the exact time and date he/she did it!" oh, and nexopia is not that cool of a website, go out and meet someone. Get the fuck off the computer. Hell even go get drunk at a bar and hit on some chick/dude whatever the fuck floats your boat. And don't even bother replying to this, cause I don't give a damn, all of you say that nexopia staff are stupid, yet you're just another user of the website they made, don't like them? leave, or better yet, go update your fucking profile and add a "am I hot or not".
iLLbITEu- - 20, Male, Canada

Eh, well when you're not on the website 24/7, it can be fun to get a few messages and chat, nothing wrong with chattin it up when you're bored now is there. nexopia, and everything you do on the website has just become a trend, its just annoying. now i come on here for like 10 mins, oh i got a message, lets reply and then logout. nex has become that simple to me, doesn't mean i hate it. most people on here are just stuck up bitches, or dependent on this website.
iLLbITEu- - 20, Male, Canada
03:42pm | Jan 22, '12
oh, and also, most people come on forums and polls like this, just to sound like a smart ass who knows everything and whatever you say is either wrong, stupid, makes no sense, or just wanna be a big fat troll and fuck with you. personally, i could give a rats ass about those people cause theyre the ones that im talking about being stuck up bitches who think their the fucking shit, well sometimes i gotta put my opinion in there too.
