Fujitsu has announced an update to its convertible, pen-based tablet laptop, as well as a new hybrid tablet.
The Stylistic Q702 business hybrid tablet and the Lifebook T902 convertible tablet PC combine 10-finger touch screens with a digitiser stylus to give your business plenty of input options. The systems feature third generation Intel Core processors and highly portable form factors. Both will be optimised for Windows 8 compatibility, though both will initially ship with Windows 7.
The Stylistic Q702 is a 852g slate tablet with an 11.6in widescreen AH-IPS display, Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000, front- and rear-facing cameras, accelerometer, gyrometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensors, 64/128GB SSD, and a 10-finger capacitive touch screen. The system also comes with a 4.5-hour built-in battery, digitiser pen, and Intel security features like TPM, Anti-theft technology, Computrace support and fingertip biometric sensor.
The included keyboard docking station turns the tablet into a clamshell laptop, with full keyboard, 4-cell removable battery, more USB ports, Ethernet and VGA. The Q702 tablet's internal battery can draw power from an AC adapter or from the keyboard dock's battery, and with both batteries fully charged, users should get about nine hours total battery life. WWAN 3G/LTE mobile broadband will be an option for the Q702. The Stylistic Q702 will start at $1,099 (£700) and will be available click over here now
The Lifebook T902 is a Windows 8-compatible follow-up to the T901 series of convertible tablet PCs. The T902 has a hinged swivel screen, measuring 13.3in diagonally, and also has a 10-finger capacitive touch screen and digitiser pen. Fujitsu claims a 1.85kg system weight with an 11-hour battery life (with both standard and modular bay batteries fully charged).
The T902 features a third generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, Gorilla Glass, SSD and HDD options, DVD and Blu-ray options, Smartcard, fingerprint reader, many of the same Intel security features, optional WWAN 3G/LTE, up to 16GB of memory, and tablet-style sensors (accelerometer, gyrometer, magnetometer and ambient light sensors). The T902 starts at $1,899 (£1,200) and will be available in Q3 2012 as well.
