~Written In Memory of Marie Findlay~
You have gone home
Home to that house in the sky
But never have I known it
So hard to say goodbye
I hung my head in mourning
My soul wrapped in sorrow
For I knew when I wanted
I wouldn't see you tomorrow
I spent the next couple of days
Thinking of you and everything we did
And of everything that went on
From the days of me as a kid
And as your casket was lowered
Deep into the ground
I went forward and slowly
Put my flower down
I walked slowly back to the van
My tears hitting the snow
Trying with all my might
To let you go
Thoughts of you there with dad
Waiting for me up there
Help me get on with tomorrow
Without you down here
Goodbye mom I will see you soon
To where there's always blue sky
No tear will ever be shed
And no longer will we have to say goodbye
