My name is Lily. As in a flower. (As not to be confused with "Willy", "Milly" or "Billy", which can happen in loud places)
I have 11 piercings, always adding more: both nostrils, septum, spiky industrial, navel, vertical nipple, middle lip, 8 gauge earlobe (pierced at 8!! AAAAH), and 2 new lobes. Piercings to me signify events and times in my life. Some represent the start of something new, some signify closure. Yet each one has its own story and reason for creation. They are aesthetic adornment, and more. Ask me, if you are curious for a story.
I am a walking contradiction. So adults look at me and think... "She's a druggie, dumb/average intellect, look at all those noserings she doesn't deserve my respect". And what really drives me crazy is the fact that they judge me (and others) by our looks. If you got to know me, you'd find out that, although I love metal, I also like..... *cough cough* SCHOOL. I want to earn my PhD in chemistry or biochemistry. I graduated in the full IB program, top of the class. I just finished my first year at university, taking all sciences courses. I am straight edge. (Wanna know why? Ask.) Do any of these things come through in my looks? NO. So quit judging. (that of course is aimed towards adults more than youth. most of the time, other young people know that the goth kids aren't all bad and that the normies aren't all good. but to adults nowadays, most of them conservative christians and that other bullsh*t, wearing white is good and black is bad, and that's all they know.)
(As you see, care must be taken not to confuse the artists with the posers. Well... let's not say posers. How about misguided? That's better, and not so negative.)
But of course I don't want to be elitist. I just want people to be aware. Sometimes, a person looks like a dumbass, and REALLY is a dumbass. One would still have to get to know them to know that. And by get to know them, on here, means read their profile. I don't care how smart you are in real life, if your profile can't show it, you suck. Maybe I am a dumbass too. But you'd have to talk to me....
